Stepping into Ulta Beauty can sometimes feel like walking into a labyrinth of endless possibilities, especially in the fragrance department. But for me, it's become a beacon of delightful discovery, all thanks to one extraordinary individual: Makayla. Every single time I go in to buy cologne, Makayla, who holds court in the fragrance section, is not just on top of her gameâshe is the game. Her knowledge of fragrances isn't just helpful; it's a profound, almost mystical understanding that transcends mere product information. She doesn't just know scents; she understands their souls, their nuances, and how they interact with an individual's essence. She guides me through the often-overwhelming selection process with an intuitive grace that feels less like a sales pitch and more like a personalized masterclass. What truly sets Makayla apart, what makes her an absolute gem, is her unwavering honesty. In a world where upselling is often the norm, Makayla offers a refreshing breath of integrity. She never pushes a fragrance just to make a sale. Instead, she listensâtruly listensâto my preferences, my mood, even the subtle hints of my personality. She then, with an almost uncanny accuracy, recommends scents that resonate deeply, that feel like an extension of who I am. This isn't just about selling cologne; it's about helping me find a signature, a scent that tells my story without uttering a single word. It's clear that Makayla doesn't just do her job; she embodies it. She takes immense pride in her craft, and that passion is palpable in every interaction. She cares, genuinely cares, that you walk away not just with a product, but with the perfect expression of yourself. Her dedication, her expertise, and her unwavering commitment to authenticity make her an irreplaceable asset to Ulta Beauty. Honestly, if I could, I'd want Makayla by my side, guiding my fragrance choices in every lifetime. She's...
Read moreWhen I went in here yesterday I wanted to look at everything, all of the holiday collections are out. I love makeup so I literally love looking at every single little thing. As we entered the security guy says is there anything you are looking for? We said no just browsing, he replied okay if you need help with anything let me know. First off how in the hell does this man think he could possibly help pick out the correct item needed for specific things a woman needs. I've been in there before many of times and know he is not the type of man that knows makeup inside and out.
Well I decided you know they are having a good sale let me grab a couple items I want. After looking at all the makeup, I tell my husband oh yeah let's go check out some drying lotion that I wanted to get for my niece. The whole time security is following us. Now we are reading the jar of drying lotion and a lady that works there approaches asking if we need help with anything. I kindly tell her no, it really rubbed me the wrong way, so I put everything back and left. I'm there shopping, if I need help I know how to ask for it like I have done a million times in the past. I should be allowed to shop with my husband and son, without being followed and bothered every 5 dang minutes!
Ulta needs to allow their customers to enjoy their shopping experience, if help is needed we know how to ask. I am done shopping in store and will order online from now on.

Read moreI donât usually write reviews but I was encouraged by a manager to do so when I called to cancel my appointment at the salon. I went in for a consultation with the stylist Tyler for a haircut and color I was thinking of. He did my hair before and I liked it so I was excited to bounce ideas off of him and pick out some colors. When I showed him the haircuts I wanted to do, he told me they were ugly but âhe would do them if I wanted him toâ. He was really rude and was making mean faces the whole time. I told him I was willing to adjust my ideas to best suit me but he didnât give any ideas or help. He said that the bangs I wanted were ugly multiple times and basically said that fashion colors werenât worth it because âthey donât last for how much they cost and are high maintenance.â That by itself is fine but mixed with the dirty looks, attitude, and over all judgement didnât sit right with me. I felt uncomfortable and canceled my appointment for my cut and color with him right after. Overall I felt uncomfortable, judged and shamed for my ideas. People can have their opinions and thatâs fine, thatâs why I went there for a consultation but he went about it completely inappropriately. Rest assured, I can say that I am not going to book with him ever again and encourage future costumers not to unless you want to be rudely judged for...
