Pirates Cove Storage Pinckney — Local services in Putnam Township

I just moved to Michigan a little over a month ago, with a LOT of stuff! I googled every storage facility within 25 miles of Pinckney, and finally landed on Pirate's Cove Self Storage. They had the absolute BEST PRICES that I had come across.The woman there was extremely helpful about assisting me, (since I was calling out-of-state). She informed me that they would hold the building I needed, all based on my word. No deposit, no hassel, just a down home person trusting another individual. When we arrived, all we had to do was sign the papers and we were done! We were unable to find a lock, and they provided us with one, I think it was $10 dollars. Also, we signed our papers on the 7th..so they took off a weeks worth of rent for us, which was fantastic as we were on a tight budget. We are moving in 2 weeks, and even though we are moving on the 2nd or 3rd..they are not charging us any rent for the month of Nov. I simply called and explained to them what the situation was...and it was no problem. I would def recommend Pirate's Cove to anyone looking for storage! Great people, great prices, and all around...

Sandy is rude and unprofessional. Went to pay for a unit that was due and was charged for a 2nd unit I did not set up. Was told my husband set up another unit in my name, but he hadn't. Brother in law set up a unit for father in law and they tacked it on to mine. When they took my payment they prepaid another month in advance on the 2nd unit (that was not mine) that was already paid up and not owing anything. When asked for a refund was told I would get it when the unit was vacated? She then proceeded to call my husband asking for an apology and accused him of setting up the 2nd unit, which he did not and I had already told her he hadn't. They made a mistake, a simple apology and correction and refund would have gone a long way! I now have my money back, but only because my father in law...

Storage auction buyer beware! Recently purchased a storage unit from a website. The locker is supposed to be tagged after video is made. This was not. I paid the strike amount plus a 100 deposit. Ask for a receipt I'll give you one when you come back after cleaning it...!? I give you cash you give me receipt, 1st strike. Opened unit while I'm paying, 2nd strike. No gate code access, 3rd strike. Unit had no tag they could show me, 4th strike. Unit was obviously gone through, from the video and photos provided, 5th strike. If I could give zero I would. Since I already gave them the cash money without a receipt, I'm forced to take the stuff so I could get my deposit. I will be reporting them to the auction website they use. Horrible shady experience. Treat your buyers like...
