I’m usually not the one to write bad reviews(matter of fact this is my first time), but this place is honestly so unorganized that I felt like I needed to let potential future residents know. The apartment looks nice, from the outside. But internally, it is run so badly. First, the management NEVER answers your email. Everything they use in the unit is cheap. Our shower head completely broke off, we were left with a hose sticking out from the wall. If it was a kid or anyone in general, you could EASILY get hit or get electrocuted from it. Next, the bars from the fridge not only fell off, the shelves completely shattered and we were left with broken pasta sauce jars and drinks spilled and glasses everywhere on the floor. I reached out to management, but no answer. I sent a follow up email, still no answer. I work at a hotel and have a crazy work schedule so I could never catch them in the leasing office.
The “dog park” that they seem to advertise so much is never cleaned, the grass is never cut. It smells like poop. With the rent that we’re paying, you’d think they would take better care of the public area.
Not only this, my car was vandalized in their parking lot (keyed and side mirror shattered). They showed no empathy and offered no solution. Apparently, the surveillance camera only shows SOME angles of a supposedly secured parking garage. Overall, just avoid this place at ALL cost please. It looks like a fancy place but it is run by untrained, unprofessional people. The fact that they use the same generic respond for every review on here honestly says a lot. I work customer service at a hotel in seaport district in Boston and I can definitely tell you this is NOT the way to resolve issues with your...
Read moreI wish I could leave zero stars. This has been the most unprofessional and disorganized leasing experience I’ve ever encountered. From start to finish, the management at Neponset Landing has consistently demonstrated poor communication, broken promises, and an alarming lack of accountability.
I originally worked with Jessica, who assured me that the unit I was leasing would include a balcony, which was a non-negotiable feature. Instead, we were placed in a unit without one. When I raised the issue, her manager Caroline stepped in, and both agreed to correct the situation. They promised a transfer into the correct unit with a balcony, and even drafted a new lease with updated terms and a move-in date clearly written and agreed upon for the beginning of the following month.
Now, just days before that move-in date, I’m told that the current tenants in the new unit have extended their lease—meaning we are left stuck in the wrong unit for another month. No warning, no accountability, no resolution.
Because I relied on the timeline they provided in writing, I have now spent over $1,400 on furniture (which cannot fit into the current unit) and an event that was planned entirely around the move-in date—including a party planner, catering, and a custom cake.
This is not a minor oversight—it’s a complete failure in professionalism and tenant care. Jessica and Caroline both made guarantees they could not uphold, and now I’m left dealing with the fallout from their inability to deliver on their word.
Do yourself a favor: avoid this property if you value your time, money, or...
Read moreUpdate : Up until today they still have no communication and will not return my deposit. Worst management office. Thankfully I did not move in.
On the website, the application showed the cost for the 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment was $2400 per month regardless of the term of the lease. I applied for the 3 month lease and the price was $2400 and those exact price and term were listed in my quote. After my application was approved (I had to reach out for this), a staff from leasing office told me that she was not aware of the short term lease, and that the cost should be changed “internally” to $3100s per month. By then, the term on my online application was changed, also internally, from 3 to 12 months. I requested my deposit of $500 being returned because this lease term and price were definitely not what I applied for. Going into this application without knowing that many internal things are not publicly available is very unfair to me and the applicants in general since the deposit was already through by the time I was aware of the change. Sarcastically, I was approved with the cost of $3100 without having my salary qualified, and was told the minimum 3x did not matter even though this was stated opposite by the leasing office at the beginning of this process. This alone should have qualified for a deposit...
