Newly opened after renovation of the former Dorset Hall. I like it, but as the front windows are covered there isn't the natural light you used to get in the upstairs area. A little claustrophobic, especially with how busy they are!

Plenty of space for large groups, party space in the lower level.

2 bar areas, this is a large establishment-more roomy than it's counterpart The Dubliner (which I love).

They only recently opened and im sure kinks need to be worked out. The food was good but not great. I will definitely be back to try again. As mentioned they were also slam packed shockingly busy.

Burger and spice bag were well liked. I thought the chicken in the spice bag was the best thing I had!

I am not a curry person, I'm told the curry sauce at the other Irish restaurant close by is much better. The sausage rolls looked amazing, but I can say the ones at the other establishment are better as well. The sauce they came with was good, but didn't seem like the right sauce for a sausage roll.

The pizza was good-but not something I'd go back for.

I'm excited to return and try more, especially Irish breakfast. Planning on going next week.

Very exciting addition to the neighborhood.

2nd visit. Unless someone else is wanting to come probably won't be back for dinner service. Would like to try breakfast and lunch, i think I'd like those options more.

Chicken vol au vent very tasty but kind of a soggy mess (I'm the only one who liked them but I've had them before).

Steak tip dinner good portion, and nice. Salad came with some dressing all over it (I asked for ranch on the side). The dressing was delicious so I didn't say anything, but at $32 I can certainly see why someone would.

Everyone really liked their spice bags and burgers tonight

The nachos weren't good. Like, it's hard to mess them up so not like they're inedible. Dry, unseasoned chicken. Under cheesed chips. Bland overall. Lucys has spoiled us with excellent nachos if you're looking for some, hold off and get them there.

I've been a few more times. It just isn't the best food. If I was younger-I'd love it. Very young and clubby- the cocktails ive had are great. People like the Guinness. The only time anyone has liked their food is the spice bags, followed by the burger.

The lines have been crazy at times too. If you're not there for the club;) and want a good meal and you're in line walk over to scobies. Not a party but you'll get a nice meal

Just saw this on the bus on the way to Boston. Stepped in tonight for dinner. It is exactly the way you see and read about it. Got seated downstairs, still a really nicely done place.

It was trivia night tonight with about 6 teams, but there were good questions, so it was entertaining. Sound person even played a Jeporday sound track cut and a Hootie and the Blowfish track. Fantastic!

Food, the Braised Beef ragu was sold out. Wife went for tomato soup instead. I tasted it and while not a fan of this kind of soup this had the right amount of cream to take the edge off. I had the Impossible no meat lasagna. It was a bit dry and a bit heavy on the fake meat. Impossible meat has a strong taste and the lack of sauce made it overwhelming towards the end. The side salad on the plate was really good. Cucumber chunks, mini cherry tomato halves and mixed salad with a unique dressing. Ate every bit of that and would have taken another portion!

Staff...greeter very nice and very friendly. Our server....gave her extra because she did everything so well and was so nice and very friendly.

So if you get in the area, stop in and have a bite. We didn't take any drinks, but the bars looked nice visually. It's worth...

Reccomend a reservation! Showed up at 530on a Tuesday and there was an hour wait for a two top. Luckily some bar seats opened after about 20 minutes, just warning you that it is very busy.

I had the pig in blanket appetizer which is a pretty traditional Irish sausage roll which is one of my favorite things. And this may be my favorite one now. I also had the steak tips with mashed potato and a side Caesar salad with peppercorn sauce. The side Caesar was a little chintzy but not enough to take from the overall meal, it was absolutely excellent.

My friend had fish and chips and also shared the pig and blanket app, he loved all of his food.

We weren't drinking with dinner just had diet cokes, but the bartender was sure to hit us with refills whenever they looked to be in need. After dinner we each had a beer, I had a Guinness and it's a well poured pint!

I will certainly be back here soon. I come from Connecticut but I'm in Boston quite a bit so I will be sure to Circle back.

Staff was grand.

5 STARS

Came in for my 3rd visit up from CT (my 2nd visit there was a 90 min wait so i missed out)

Had the sausage roll again and Pizza #7 (peperoni and hot...

Visited McGonagle’s for the first time last weekend because I was feeling sentimental for Ireland after spending ten days there in March. The Guinness is better than any other pub in Boston and was absolutely on par with the better pubs in Dublin. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent—a perfect representation of the Irish style with a thick, crispy batter. The chips are also exactly right. I love that the fish and chips were served with a curry sauce (in addition to tartar sauce—and vinegar, if you want it). If you want to pretend you’re in Dublin for a few hours, this is the place to go.

It was my first time there. I enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was outstanding. It has intimate vibes. You can bring a date, friends or family to this establishment. Dierdre Doherty was the bartender/server. She was amazing as always. Greeted me with a smile. Oran McGonagle was also present. Making sure that I was taken care of. Got a pub hat as well. I highly recommend the Roasted Marrow it was devine. I also got the steak tips with cauliflower cheese and steak fries. Phenomenal!!! I highly recommend this place.
