It is nice that's the old drive in ground of neponset in Dorchester. I remember going to drive in as a child. The person who accompanied me yesterday to the soccer ⚽️ practice said they had made it a landfill and when I think landfill I think mounds of garbage. Well if it was you couldn't tell. There was playground and the hugest soccer ⚽️ field I've ever seen. It was a total of 6 teams and different age groups practicing and enough space for all to practice and there was a walking lane which we went to two separate locations of this park that was extensive stretch of this park location in Dorchester. Next time they should say location next to Walgreens just before going under the bridge to quincy on right hand side. Glad I'd didn't catch public transportation or I'd never gone to seen the person I...

It's unfortunate because this really is a nice park. It seems like DCR has given up on policing their Boston properties over the past couple of years though. It's rare to go to Patten's Cove, Malibu Beach, Victory Park or John Paul II Park around lunchtime and not see motorized vehicles (mopeds, cars, SUVs) driving on the grassy areas and pedestrian paths.

50% of this is that DCR is not closing gates to vehicular traffic in the parks. The other 50% is that Bostonians generally only follow rules that are enforced.

The DCR parks in Boston currently feel like what happened to the MBTA Subway lines before Eng took over, repaired the tracks, actually installed the right gauge on the GLX and removed all...

Best Park in the neighborhood. It has a play ground for the kids, a huge field that teams, kids and family utilize for soccer and football practice. Awesome area to picnic on lawn, perfect for kite flying and family also do fishing. The park has a huge trail for joggers and walker that wants to stay fit. The trail doesn't begin and ends at the park. It's a huge trail that runs into at lease three town, can't give you exact details you would have to check it out. Perfect for bike riding also. The park also has porter potties located in different areas around the park. Awesome park for the family. Every now and then in the summer months they also have movie nights. Check it out👍👍👍👍👍lots...

I frequent here once a week or every other week. It's a great place to walk dogs, jog, play soccer, and even has a kids playground. The views are nice. Plenty of dogs on and off leash. People tend to be flexible and open minded about dogs off leash, though please keep yours on a leash if they're aggressive or untrained. People are also good about picking up after their dogs. Long story short...please don't ruin it for the rest of us. The only reason for 4 stars is that it's right next to 93. So you'll have that road noise no matter what. Not exactly the type of serene sound to match the visuals.

Lots of open green space next to the Neponset river. Lovely mix of programmed spaces: sports fields, tot lot and natural fields. Loads of feral bunnies and native bird species. Well maintained paved paths for walking and other activities. DCR owned and maintained, used by many different communities for many different uses: hiking, athletics, fishing, picnicking, and just being out in nature.
