We moved in at Nova Quincy last year and it has been an amazing living experience so far. The location of the apartment is what attracted me. It is a quick 7 minute walk to the red line T station which makes the commute to work feel like a breeze. Also, there are tons of restaurants around and there is a shopping plaza within walking distance. The building itself is newly constructed and had beautiful units. I live in a 1 BHK apartment and it is very spacious and open with lots of natural light. The management is always easy to reach which is great and they keep organizing little events for everyone to have fun. Though it has been very limited due to COVID. Derek and the management team are very attentive and try to resolve any issues quickly. The package room facility with concierge is wonderful. You no longer have to worry about missing or stolen packages. Each one of them is received in person. It's a great amenity. Gym and community room are additional features that add more value to living here. I really like it here!!😊

I have now lived in this apartment for 4 months and I definitely enjoy living here. I was very excited to move in given that the apartments are brand new and of course the location which brings ease of access to public transport, restaurants, grocery stores (BJ's) and other services. However, there were complications in the beginning which come with any new buildings. We now have a reliable waste disposal, mail system, the ability to open the door for guests using an app (very convenient for me), gym and lounge. Appliances work fine and I haven't encountered any issues with the apartment itself (interior designs are beautiful). Management is great as well. Ty and Jon have assisted me and my roommate whenever we had a concern, needed help or had any questions. Yes, apartments here can be quite pricey but the price is worth every other convenience accessible to me. In addition, the views are amazing! I love being able to watch sunrises and sunsets whenever possible.

They always hire the worst management team. I requested virtual tour and asked general questions about the apartment with someone named Ty Young in the year of 2020, whom would always promise to reply in 15 mins and called back after 6 hours or even more than a day. After I moved in, new members replaced her in the management office and I was pleased. Although earlier this year when negotiating renewal with them, frustration occurred again. Firstly they informed me that the utility policy changed for my apartment and I started looking for a cheaper one in the building. Then they toured me to several apartments on a Monday which were ridiculously all taken by others on Tuesday and they insisted for me to write emails about my requests related to my ending lease or short term extension or etc. So I did on Tuesday and never heard from them. On Thursday, I asked about why there was nothing done on my request or at least a short term extension completion and here was what I heard from one of the management team named Jane: " It is only Thursday" Imagine if you are dealing with something you wish to at least hear response about, and all you hear is "It is only Thursday" I was enraged by it and argued with Jane and other guy named Derek so they said they would fulfill it by EOD. Although they informed me that they were not providing renewing on that day. What a trash team! They insisted to use email when negotiating although they never reply the email on time, what a joke. Because of their trashy action, I am able to find a way better apartment: cheaper, larger, more and better amenities. Despite the trashy team they have, the apartment advertises their location, Oni system(which is totally unnecessary if the apartment is big enough) and other "luxury" elements but will never mention small layouts, windows malfunction due to poor design of the exterior wall, small washer and dryer, forever water leak in the ground floor hall(which was not fixed by a month long construction work right out side my window and I waked up to the sound of hammer every morning) and most annoying, the worst sound insulation. Every night I could hear what channels my neighbors were watching. I am thankful that I got out of a not so good building ran by a trashy team and I hope Jane and Derek, whether stay or being fired, please don't go out there ruining other luxury apartment management team. P.S, How dare Jane would question me at the move-out inspection if the mattress was taken or it was not provided at the first place? How poorly acknowledged the team was to be not knowing that they...

4 stars since I feel like being nice today. I've been here since the beginning. At first, it was rough with the move-in being delayed at such a tight notice but they handled it the best they could with putting us in hotels if needed and refunding the fees. Also, there were many things not addressed such as trash, mail system, etc but eventually they provide solutions. Construction nearby was always loud and annoying but that's not the apartment's control, it's the City. I have to disagree with some of the positive comments about the management in the beginning: Ty and John. I question the authenticity of some of these reviews about the management team: Ty and John but I guess everyone's experience is different and that right there shows their inconsistency. I felt like they were rude when asked simple questions (this was when the apartment just opened) such as online payment not being available yet. I asked over the phone and they said they'll check out the issue and call me later. They never called. What? Just say it's not ready yet/website is not ready yet. I had to go in person to ask the next day and they were condescending about it as if my question was insignificant. Lowkey being shady about it. That rubbed me the wrong way. To be blunt: they seemed so fake about any issue you had.

Now let's fast forward to now as to why I am able to give this place 4 stars. Thank god, they fired that shady management team. They need to learn basic customer service skills (please go observe the staff at Marriott hotels to humble yourself, thanks) jesus. There is a new management team now and they are so much better. They are actually friendly and nice. They are willing to help you with any issue you have. Always reassuring to make your issue gets solved and not beat around the bush about it. For example: I was worried about not finding my package and Derek took the time to look with me to find it in the package room (before the new package system changed). I was not expecting that and I appreciate it so much. The apartment is well maintained and they are handling COVID so well. For the cost and location (legit 5 min walk to the T) I recommend it! You can't get that anywhere else especially when it's so expensive to rent...

This review is strictly a review of the initial application and inquiry process. The building has only been open a couple days and I am not a tenant, so I cannot speak to that fact.

A couple weeks ago, we toured a two bedroom and placed a deposit on it. We had a deposit on a 2 bedroom so that it could be held while we filled out the application.

We wanted to tour the apartment one more time the following weekend (since the fire alarm went off the first time we toured, cutting the tour short). We get there this past weekend, and the realtor learns right as we are about to walk into and tour the 2 bedroom apartment that the apartment was swapped for a current resident who didn’t like their original apartment upon move in. The realtor had walked in to the apartment to find that other tenants have already moved in - this was a move authorized by the property management but with no ā€œheads upā€ to the realtor or us.

After losing out on that apartment on Sunday, we talk with one of the on site staff, who informs us that there’s a 2nd two bedroom that is possibly available - she just had to call the original couple that put a down payment on the apartment to confirm that they didn’t want it. She said she would let us know by 8 pm that day, but we never received a call. Understandable, as the building is still working out a number of issues during its opening. But we would be ā€œthe first to know if that 2 bedroom is available.ā€

However, today, we check up on the unit, and learn that the 2ND unit that was supposed to be offered to us (contingent on the fact that the original tenants cancelled the deposit/hold) was given to another prospective tenant. AGAIN. (ā€œYou’ll be the first to know...ā€)

I understand that with opening a new apartment building, there are a lot of loose ends to tie up and there’s still quite a bit to get ready, but this entire process left me feeling frustrated and lied to.

Definite red flags for future tenants. Hopefully in the coming months they are able to smooth out the process for prospective tenants,...
