This has been an ordeal to say the least. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because our Sales Associate, Roland, and the Store Manager, Joshua, have been helpful in trying to get this resolved. We ordered multiple pieces of furniture on 9/26/2020. We were told due to COVID-19 our delivery date would be 11/13 for all of the items. We understood that the pandemic has been challenging so we agreed to wait. The 13th came and went with no updates. We finally spoke to someone who stated the delivery date had changed to 11/19. We went into the store and spoke with Joshua (Manager), who helped us split our order up so that a few of our pieces could arrive. We finally received our living room furniture and given a new date of 12/9 for the remaining items. The 9th came and went with no updates. We finally spoke to someone in customer care who stated our new date was Friday, 12/19 (our daughter's birthday weekend). We waited all day for delivery, only to be told at 7:30pm that the truck broke down that morning and they couldn't get to us. We were told to visit the store to process our refund however, when were arrived that same evening, the manager informed us that was incorrect. After speaking with Joshua, he confirmed that we could get our dining room table on 12/21 (Monday). He also offered to refund us a portion of price if we would not cancel the complete order. We agreed, and the table and chairs were delivered on 12/21. When the delivery guys began putting the items together, they noticed there were not enough screws to finish the chairs. We spoke with Cameron Walker, customer care agent, who was very rude and continued to cut my husband off as he spoke. He then said he would order the screws, they would arrive via FedEx in 7-10 days and he would send someone to complete the furniture. After expressing our frustration about this whole process, Cameron stated he could give us a store credit. We advised him that we would never be shopping at a Ashley Store again so a store credit would not do, he advised that he could give us a refund of a lower amount. We agreed, and my husband began to ask additional questions before Cameron stated have a nice day and hung the phone up (even the delivery drivers were shocked at his rude behavior). To date, neither refund has been processed (from the store or customer care), our screws have just arrived (our chairs are still incomplete), and I'm very skeptical that our final piece will arrive on 1/7 as promised. However, I was very disappointed that it wasn't in either of their warehouses. Chole assured me that she would do everything in her power to get my new sleeper sofa to me as quick as possible.
This is a follow-up on the sleeper sofa that I purchased September, Labor Day 2024waI was told that my sofa wasn't in their warehouse and they wasn't sure if I would receive it within a 2-3 week period. I have family coming for Thanksgiving and needed a sleeper sofa. We are a few weeks from Thanksgiving and I received a call that my sofa was no longer being built. I was told to come in and someone would be available to give me a refund. Unfortunately, when I drove there yesterday no one was qualified to refund me for the sofa. On top of that I was interrogated by Joe when I explained to him that the sofa I paid for was no longer being built. The nice lady that Chole that helped me with the sofa and who 's name is on my contract was there and he still refused to listen. When I asked him to give me back my contract he threw it on the counter and walked off. He was rude, arrogant and extremely cocky. He sound like he was sick because he was very hoarse. Read moreWe are super grateful to have met Dakari on the day we started our search for a mattress. He was super knowledgeable of the brands of mattresses, their technology, and complimenting accessories to enhance a mattress that may not have been in our budget. We didn’t buy the same day because we thought we’d find a better mattress elsewhere, but found ourselves back to him because everyone else around Raleigh had nowhere near as much knowledge about mattress technology as Dakari did. Every other sales person made every mattress sound the same or even gave false information or didn’t know what some mattress lines had to offer! Fortunately we came in the store again when he was working and bought the mattress and adjustable base we had discussed.
I honestly don’t think we would’ve found the right mattress for us without him. He’s passionate about people getting a good nights rest and understands it’s direct role in a persons health.
The only reason I’m giving four stars is because these google reviews reflect this Ashley’s as a whole I’m sure and I must say this Ashley’s best asset is Dakari, he is very professional in presentation, personal in his connections with customers, and is knowledge about the products they’re selling. Everyone else kind of stayed out the way or kept it to the bare minimum. The manager is very reasonable too but kept his distance. So I don’t know that I’d return to this Ashley’s, but I would certainly seek out Dakaris advice...
