Dos Taquitos — Restaurant in Raleigh

We unfortunately had an unpleasant experience here. We made reservations for a table of 7. When we got there, the table wasn't ready at the time we requested (we waited an extra 15 min, but no big deal) we were then seated at a table of 6 and we felt very crammed since we had 2 infants with us also. After asking for a bigger table the manager, Melanie basically came over and explained how there's nothing she can do and it's our problem that we didn't order a table for 9 people (because of the 2 babies). I then told her that we werent aware that was needed since some places require that and some places don't, and it wasn't noted on the website to count infants under 1 years old, and still we are 7 people on a 6 place table. To make a long story short I basically took responsibility for only making a 7 person's reservations and just asked if she'd be willing to keep an eye open for a table for us, but she wasn't willing to do so and said we can sit outside and wait 40 minutes for a bigger table outside. She was very unpleasant and passive aggressive to say the least. And besides that, the waitress practically threw one of the plates in front of us on the table . The place was very loud and busy and there was a harsh smell of fried oil. I hope the place sees this as constructive criticism and that even if the place was super busy, the manager could still be polite and hey! Maybe even nice (!) next time to other people. Worst experience ever. Will never go again. Had to reserve a booth for four people and pre-pay $40 to keep our place. Sat down and waited way to long for server to arrive and take our order. Asked for water and we would order. Waited way to long and finally received our waters. Walked away and the finally came back to ask for any drinks or appetizers. Placed our order and waited. Received appetizers and drinks then waited another 30 minutes, only received services once we flagged down our server. No check in from server or anything. Didn't ask what we wanted or needed or anything. We had to flag down our server to order. We had to wait to received our meal from another server. My meal had a HAIR in it. Yes a hair, observable. Asked to be replaced, again, only once we were able to get the attention of our server was it replaced. Never came back to fill beverages or ask if we wanted anything else. Terrible. Will never go again. Should have taken a picture of it. For such a highly rated place this has been the worse experience I've ever had. Didn't even offer to compensate for the HAIR in my meal that I didn't have an appetite to eat. DIDN'T EVEN OFFER A DISCOUT OR OFFER FOR MY MEAL TO BE PAID FOR. ten if there’s a wait, then there’s a wait. However, when after waiting for a 1.5 hours for a table, there is no reason that you should then wait 45 minutes to get your drinks. One of the people in our party got his soup and finished it before we had our drinks. When we finally got our meal, one of the meals was the Chilaquiles. The tortilla chips came out soggy and when this was pointed out to the waiter, he said that it was soggy because that was the first meal done and it had been sitting under the heaters. We asked that the meal be remade. 10 minutes later a manager came over asking if we needed something since a meal was sent back. First the meal could have easily been replaced by switching out the tortilla chips, second I have never had a manager be so disrespectful in trying to fix an issue with the meal, third never as a server had I admitted the quality of the food wasn’t good because that meal has been sitting under heaters. We chose at this point to have the meal cancelled and just wanted to leave. All the other meals were barely lukewarm and weren’t worth the hype. My local place in Fuquay is so much better.
