As a teacher Iāve been told that this spa goes out of their way to make teachers feel valued. Before yesterday I 100% agreed. After my 1st TWD yesterday I decided to pamper myself by ending the day with laser hair but I had some unrelated serious concerns on my mind & I wasnāt in the mood to blindly buy or request extra areas of service without knowing the exact cost beforehand. I generally donāt buy anything unless I know the cost.The tech from yesterday made me feel ashamed & awful for needing the financial info prior to agreeing to more. Iāve never felt more undervalued.She did not extend herself in anyway. She made me feel badly for having reservations. Iām not independently wealthy as a full time teacher for the county. If you want to sell me more then you need to know how much it is going to cost before you try pushing more treatments on me.It didn't feel like she was ākindlyā offering extra services. It felt like she was trying to trap me into getting more than I could pay for&when I asked how much she she resented it-she said āI donāt deal w financial aspects&I could go out to the reception and ask them myself.ā She had changed her mind about having me ask to having āusā ask to then just deciding to send me out to reception as if I was a child or nuisance⦠she next walked me out of room but she must have changed her mind bc instead she ushered me out to reception while she privately conferred4awhile w person at the checkout desk&I stood awkwardly outside-in reception.It felt like This technician went out of her way to make me feel badly bc I had financial reservations.She said if I had banked anything it would show up on my account but she claimed after she checked, she did not see any notations I had banked an area or service in advance & told me they generally only offer their specials in that month so if I paid for something then I was supposed to use it then & I was incorrect about having banked it bc she wasnāt seeing it.Yet after I went out to reception while she conferred w the ācheckoutā I was approached by another reception or records employee who saw me looking confused &concerned so she said she could help me as it was taking awhile & I was just standing there like an idiot. She immediately found this info in about 10 seconds. She said itās RIGHT there on my acct. She doesnāt know why the tech said this but she offered to tell her. She sent me out to reception once more thinking it will be just a second but let me tell u it was a fiasco. I came here to pamper myself. Not to made to feel badly or uncomfortable. I get few opportunities to myself.This was 1 of them & I wish I had gone anywhere else or done anything but get this treatment. She didnāt even take the time to let me see a mirror when she was done. Anytime she asked a question if I didn't have the answer she wanted she made me feel badly to the point she said to 1 of my comments: "didn't you have to have a consult..? Like my having a consult means I have zero comments or concerns. Am I not allowed to confirm aspects of the process w the technician or am I only allowed to raise those concerns or comment at the consult! when it was over she didn't offer to let me see. I had to ask the lady at the front reception (after Iād checked out) where I could find a mirror to see the results. That's very ineffective for making sure I found the process sufficient. She really was not interested in helping me. I am spending hundreds of dollars so I don't think my comfort should be ignored so blatantly as it was by this employee. This tech needs training on how to treat people. Let me tell u in the past Iāve been made to feel so welcome, valued & comfortable.This is the first and last time I let someone im paying make me feel so horrible about myself I let your employee push me around by not insisting she care enough to try to ensure I was satisfied or comfortable. I was happy and planning to move forward. When I went for a consultation, I was really eager to learn about a lot of services. I was hoping for thorough information on my options and personalized realistic suggestions, a short and long term plan to creat a timeline, budget and to get started right away with the things that would be seasonally (sun exposure) appropriate. The woman was clearly in a hurry, giving me some decent info at first, thank you:), but clearly was not interested in educating or customizing a plan, just a quick sale and onto the next. I requested information about other services that were someone elseās area. She said they wanted to talk to me right away / were available right now , hurried me away out of her room and then left me sitting in the front until I asked the desk lady what was going on. The second person, was at least a little more forth coming about certain tx maybe not being a good option for me as I live outdoors and will not be out of the sun fir a month at a time a few times a year for tx. I also had asked that someone reach out to me about surgical procedures as this was for injections and lasers and she had said she would set up someone to reach out. I never heard anything else. No one reached out for a surgical consult via zoom or to make appointments. They never even asked if I want to get a service or schedule or a service at a later date. I was totally set do get things done, I was not trying to waste anyoneās time. Iām an RN and have also had bad experiences medically from not asking enough questions. So I am trying to do my due diligence and educate myself on procedures, risks and create realistic plans and expectations. I was being responsible and that was annoying and to them, it seems, and my business was clearly not worth their time. I later also read some really sad reviews online about how current and past employees seemed to be treated quite poorly, but management and each other :( I really hope at least the latter is not true.
Hereās the thing everyone. If the professional youāve chosen is preoccupied, in a hurry, annoyed with your questions, non reassuring this should not build trust and is showing a clear lack of personal concern for you and your needsā¦.walk away. Iāve noticed in this area this sadly seems to be quite the trend. Either that and or you may be charged upwards of 150$ for a consult, for information, that will be āput towards your servicesā. This is pressuring you into making a bad decision that effects you medically because now youāre into it financially already. Old adage you get what you pay for may be alive and well here. I got my free consultation, rushed and unpersonalized and then forgotten about. . But Iāve read so many reviews from the highly ranked places that charge for consults being very much the same with added arrogance. Where I moved from none of this was the case. One was not treated like a money tree but a human being. And before you say go back to where you came from⦠I am. I am flying back across the country for personalized care. Yes Iād rather spend the money and time flying somewhere I know cares about my well being and not just their wallet. I befriended a gorgeous woman who I sat next to at an exercise class, her name is Maria Bundros. We became friends and I heard she worked at a spa. I had only been to one medical spa in my life, about 10 years ago. I had such a terrible experience there, I assumed it was not for me. Fast forward about 8 years and I am starting to feel like I really need some help in the face department. After getting to know Maria I realized what a great, trustworthy and honest person she is. I thought to myself, well, if she works at this great spa, it MUST be a great, trustworthy and honest business. And BINGO, it is! I did not tell Maria I had made an appointment to have a consultation for injections. It was such a pleasant surprise to see her when I walked in and she said, āTrust me, you are in great hands!ā I nervously waited in the lobby, still undecided on what to do and scared the injections would have a negative reaction, as it had in the past. Catherine came and got me and brought me back to the room where we discussed my many options. She was amazing! She was so bubbly and pleasant to talk to. She made me feel so comfortable, even though I sounded like a nervous wreck with my 800 questions and sounding so fearful on what to do. She was patient with me and guided me with her knowledge and expertise into trying a smaller injection first to make sure I would have a good reaction. She steered me towards a better product choice for me and my sensitive skin. We did a ālip flipā procedure and I can describe it with one word, OBSESSED!!!! Catherine was so knowledgeable and gave me the confidence I needed to go for it and I am so thankful she did! I have had no negative reactions and I literally cannot wait to see her again! I called back the very next day to get back on her schedule as soon as possible to get the rest of my wishlist procedures done. I am scheduled to go back in next week and I am so excited and anxiously awaiting my second visit with Catherine, so I can have the same excellent experience as I did the first time. She has helped me feel so incredibly confident in my skin already, I cannot wait to see what magic she has in store for me in the near future. I am so so thankful to have met Maria, for so so many reasons, but she is a key part of the reason why I feel so beautiful today and I am so grateful!!
