Carriage House — Local services in Raleigh

AS an individual who has been to many lady clothing shops in state, out of state and out of this country, I have to write a review concerning this exquisite shop in the middle of Quail Corner Shopping Center in Raleigh, N.C. This shop may look small from the outside, but don't let what you see keep you from going inside this quaint shop where there is such a BIG shopping experience.This experience is given to you as special service by ladies who not only know what is fashionable and not fashionable, but they love what they do and it shows.Katherine and her female staff make suggestions in how to wear their clothing in that every time you walk out you look and feel special and fantastic in what they have suggested. Catherine and her staff are fabulous with such great ideas in putting together just the right garment and accessories for any occasion. Not only will they help with the one occasion, they help you pull together other outfits using the same garment by just adding different jewelry, different scarf, different purse, different hat and even shoes if needed from another source(they don't carry shoes). It is amazing to me in the suggestions they make might be something that I would have never thought of putting together to wear. Not only this great help with such a caring attitude, but I go places where people give compliments quite frequently in how sharpe my outfit looks or how beautiful and put together everything looks. I have been shopping at The Carriage House for more than 25 years for a variety of reasons: the quality of the clothing, the wide selection of both clothing and accessories, the comfortable and attractive surroundings to name just a few. But the biggest reason I keep coming back is because of Katherine, the owner. She listens to her customers’ wants and needs - all without drama or judgment. She suggests ways to maximize options for wearing the clothes. She’s not just trying to sell you some clothes and hustle you out the door; rather, she shows you ways to style the item so you get the most out of it. The clothes she sells are reasonably priced, very high quality and will last for many years, unlike much of the “fast fashion” being peddled so many other places these days. I no longer live in Raleigh but still drive 90 minutes each way to shop with Katherine and her great staff. I discovered The Carriage House in Raleigh NC while searching for the Fall/Winter2024 collection of Marble clothing. Not only did I find a fantastic inventory of many colors, coordinating pieces , and gorgeous accessories- I met Catherine, the owner, who sent many photos and videos of availible pieces. All the while, she offered her fantastic suggestions as to how to put my favorite pieces together and coordinate a gorgeous wardrobe. Everything mixes and matches! We had so much fun discussing Marble beautiful clothing and quickly bonded!! She then wrapped each piece in tissue paper and carefully boxed it all and sent it UPS. She is an excellent saleslady who never rushed me and made sure I was happy with the selection of each piece. If I lived close to Raleigh The Carriage House would be my store!
