Even though I highly rate the food drinks and atmosphere the service was so bad that I will never give this place a dime of my money again. I came here on a Saturday night for my friends birthday dinner. First off we tried to call to make a reservation weeks in advance but they told us they don’t take reservations so we went without one. When we put our names on the waiting list at 7:02 pm and they told us the wait was an hour. The woman behind us told the hostess that she had a reservation and she was seated that was the first red flag. While we waited we could see our names on the virtual waiting list and we were able to view our spot in line. It took a hour and a half for our table to be ready. When our table was “ready” we received a notification and we were first in line on the virtual waiting list so we went up to the hostess. When we walked up there was a group of ten and one man in the group was really angry because they had been waiting for 3hours. We told the host our table was ready and she said that the people seated at our table are finishing their drinks and had not gotten up yet. We stood in front of her for about 15 minutes then we checked again and the hostess said they were leaving. Another 15 minutes passed and we asked her again what’s going on and she had acted like we hadn’t been waiting in front of her for 30 minutes. She told us that they have an event that started at 9 and they are not taking anymore guest unless we buy a bottle (It was 9:13pm) now here’s the problem. 1.) We waited over 2 hours when the wait time was supposed be 1 hour 2.)These hostesses knew at least since that morning that there would be an event going on meaning if they were never going to seat us they should’ve notified us or planned ahead of time when we put ourselves on the waiting list at 7. 3.)We would not be getting seated past 9 had they not stalled us for 30 minutes. As I was explaining to the host how unprofessional this was they sat a group who had just walked in of Hispanic decent and I can assure you they were not there to party and buy a bottle because they had a baby AND a 12 year old with them. They then sat another group that asked them if they really had to buy a bottle to be seated and the same hostess said “I don’t know where you heard that from” and sat them. This woman played in our faces and the manager didn’t even look our way it was as if he told them not to bother him with anything dealing with reservations. We were outraged and we demanded to be seated because we waited so long. We were finally seated and the whole time we ate we couldn’t even enjoy ourselves cause we just knew that they never wanted to seat us in the first place and if we didn’t fight for our table we wouldn’t...
Read moreWe went for a friends birthday dinner, they have eaten here before and raved about it, so we all went as a party of 10. We made reservations for 8 PM, and didn't get seated until around 8:45.
Let me just say the vibe of this place is the BEST we have ever seen, and it just blows you away! The attention to detail and the decorations and club like atmosphere is just nothing like you have seen or experienced before in any other restaurant setting.
With the above being said, we were sat at a high top over near the wall on the bar side, was a little tight for all of us but we made it work. Our server was attentive, but with the volume of music and what was going on around us it made it EXTREMELY difficult to hear him and for him to hear us.
We all ordered drinks, and they did arrive in a timely manner, but again it was so hard to hear what they were trying to pass out as the volume of the music made it almost impossible to hear. He took our food orders after the drinks came out, and then we did not see him again until the food started to come out which was in about 10-15 min after ordering.
The food was amazing, hot and fresh, and just great. The only issue was it didn't all come out at once, one couple at our table was the last to get there food which was about 25-30 min after everyone else. I am sure this had to due with the level of the music as again you couldn't hear what the runners where trying to bring to you.
As we were eating we all ordered more drinks and as we finished the server came over to check on us and start to clean the dishes out. I am not sure if he was trying to rush us out the door, but it 100% seemed this was. We tried to order more drinks and he had this confused look on him and after about 1 min he placed the order.
Once the drinks we had just ordered where delivered he came over and asked if there was anything else he could get us before closing us out, and some of us asked for another drink, mind you these where all alcoholic drinks we were ordering. After about 10 min the drinks finally arrived as well as the server with the bill for the table without even asking this time.
We asked what the deal was and he informed us that we had a 90 minute sitting policy and that we were approaching our time as our reservations were at 8 PM. We informed him that we were not sat until almost 9 P.M. and it was barley 10:05 at this point in time. He gave us the it doesn't matter attitude and we simply paid the bill and left after that.
I can understand that you are extremely busy for a Saturday evening, but don't rush people when they are just getting there food and or more drinks, there should and could be a better way at handling...
Read moreHave been seeing the reviews on several social platforms and wanted to see how they converted the once "Tilted Kilt". Well let me start by saying I miss Tilted Kilt. Let first start by saying don't come on my comment posting because you feel offended. God made us all as last I checked it lighter skinned people to darker skinned. Moving on, we arrived at 7:45 my daughter ordered chicken tacos with cheese and lettuce ONLY. It was not overcrowded, refer to photos, however my daughter didn't get her food until 9:30+ and it was wrong. All the orders were wrong, they didn't count the seats to know which order belonged to which h chair. And the ULTIMATE, they tried speaking in Spa iah so we wouldn't understand. So 1 order from our table was a chicken quesadilla with cheese and chicken ONLY. They brought out a cheese only taco and said that it was a quesadilla. Then started speaking in Spanish to the other workers telling them to tell us l, if asked that it was a quesadilla. Of course we sent it back. It was cheese only in the form of a taco. So they finally decided to replace the order and low and behold we got the correct version of a chicken quesadilla and it looked NOTHING like a taco. The BARTENDER WAS HORRIBLE. TO PROVE I WILL SHOW MY RECEIPT and the bartender overcharged me even with a little over a 50% tip. I paid one upfront and then the second I left tab open. The 1st bill was $26 and I tipped $10 and the second I purchased 2 drinks (recipe said 3 and know I wasn't drunk it had NOOO liquor) I already paid for first, and was charged $33 which wasn't bad AT ALL, and tipped $15 for sour mix and ice but i didnt get a drink; please refer to credit card transactions and second receipt. Finally they made our table pay for the entire bill as 1 check, we weren't allowed to pay separate. The people were totally ride l amd disrespectful. Just because you see a cute smokey drink on tic too does t mean it's worth the money. Lastly, they didn't offer our party a discount until my cousin, whose a regular came in to rectify the situation and only then did they offer to comp 1 meal. It wasn't about a free meal it was about GOOD QUALITY SERVICE. I'm a regular at what Raleigh/Cary/Durham considers as fine dining, Ruth Chris, Oro, Sullivan's, maggianos, Perrys,, Brios, Peddlers, Agus, etcc..etc... you get my point (only naming local restaurants) and they don't or at least not from me as of today, have totally screwed up a partys order and then tried speaking in a different language as if people...
