Morning Rolls — Restaurant in Raleigh

I didn't need another reason to eat Mornings Rolls sticky, delicious, cinnamon rolls; but watching the owner stick up for his employees this morning and kick a bad customer out is definitely the "icing on the roll" as it were. The customer was initially wrong, the employees apologized and made the customer whole with a refund, despite him complaining non-stop. The owner then apologized and told them they're trying their best. Mr. Had To Have The Last Word turned and said, "Well you need to do better" and tried to sneak out the door. The owners quick quip, "Find someplace that does better next time then." was exactly what this particular customer needed to hear. It of course set him off and long story short, that guy won't be coming back. Good riddance.

Remember folks, service workers are not there to service you and you alone. There is a world of other customers out there who are equally deserving of their product and if you can't deal with that, stay home. Don't come out and berate some poor cashier because you want to throw a fit about how long your rolls are taking. Relax, and enjoy the fact that the place is so damn delicious that the only way to get the rolls is to get them fresh out of the oven. Or, just order the cinna-rocks, made just for those in a hurry, and move on.

I went back and got a normal cinnamon roll. It was even better than the other roll I got. Also the place was cleaner and smelled much better this time. I will say they staff was acting a little weird and the owner gave me a weird look but yeah.

Really good price for some pretty good cinnamon rolls! I got the blue berry lemon. It was honestly a little bit more doughy than I like but I know a lot of people like that so it's definitely just my taste preference. The place sells hot coffee and some bottled drinks, not too much in the way of speciality drinks, but that's not what they are there for.

The only thing that really got me is it seemed like someone dumped a bunch of cigarette butt in the trash and I have a very sensitive nose and they just smelled terrible. I don't know if the staff did this, so I'm not really complaining about them but man it was not pleasant.

The place is in what I think was half of an old bank, it's fine, but it's nothing spectacular, it could use a bit of a makeover but definitely has some charm at the same time.

The staff was great, the customers seemed super happy for the most part too.

Decided to try this spot on a whim, started to get tired of Chik-fil-A and Starbucks for breakfast on sleepy days where I don't have the energy to cook at home. Best decision I've made in a while.

I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheddar, added bacon. I cannot stress enough how amazing this sandwich was. The eggs were cooked to perfection, fluffy and soft, seasoned properly. The sausage was quality and very flavorful, no weird cartilage or funky bits in it. Bacon was cooked perfectly. The roll had a slight sweetness to it which balanced the savory flavors out in exactly the right way, like precision flavor profile balance. I know this all sounds dramatic but for real, the sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich I've had in years that I haven't cooked myself. Price-wise this place is far better than normal fast food spots, and while there isn't a drive-thru, it only took 5 minutes to get my sandwich, my wife's sandwich, and a sweet treat (cinna rocks).
