Horrible service and experience. I have tried Peace camera several times but they are just rude and unprofessional to customers. I actually had one of the guys behind the counter sigh in annoyance when I asked to see a lens. I asked to look at one lens and you act that way? I asked about prices and they made it seem like I asked them to cure cancer. The biggest issue I have is they treat you like an idiot and I have seen them do this to other possible customers. I have seen them treat customers that are going to spend a good amount of cash with way more respect and give them a great customer experience. What a shocker, you treat people that will spend a butt load of money at your store with more respect. They act very elitist when you are talking with them about a particular product. I have been photographing professional bands and musicians for years and I am not an idiot when it comes to gear. Stop treating your customers as if they are wasting your time and get over your elitists attitude. You lost a customer for life and I would not recommend your...
Read moreI've been here a few times now. While there are a few helpful, courteous staff, I found many to be rude and condescending. To make that worse, they were either unknowledgeable, or intentionally misleading.
I went in with questions regarding camera body pricing, and was basically told that "anything with ten megapixels is out of date and not worth looking at". Having printed 20x30's from 10MP just fine, I beg to differ. I, like someone else, was also told that scratches don't matter on a lens, and also that they "are professionals" and "know all about it. How else would we sell it?" when I questioned them on this. I don't know if they're simply uknowledgeable, or intentionally misleading. The attitude they get with you if you disagree with them, or admit a small budget (my budget tends to be VERY small), is very much "You're just street riff raff and don't know what you're talking about." After 3-4 encounters like this, I simply took my business to Southeastern Camera up the road. I post this with the caveat that I was last there about...
Read moreI spoke to someone on the phone that was the worst salesperson I've spoken to in a long time. They were only interested in talking about what they had in stock to sell, they were not interested in finding out what was best for my needs (and when I called him out on it, he said, "well yeah"). He told me that he did not know everything about every camera, in a real crabby tone. I even asked about a camera that they could order for me, and he was not interested in talking about it, again, only what they had in stock (which apparently is not much for a specialty camera store). I had to hang up on him before I got so mad that I said something that could not be printed here. I will never call, visit, recommend, or look at their website again. Just google camera stores and you find much much better. I would go to Walmart and ask them for help or making a purchase before going here. I'm heading over to the nice, helpful, and smart folks at Southeastern Camera. Peace Camera would have gotten no stars if that...
