Earp's Seafood Market — Local services in Raleigh

I typically never write reviews but I am extremely disappointed by the poor customer service that I experienced. I was in town visiting a friend and she has always talked so highly about this place, and me being an avid seafood lover, I decided to check it out. There was a good crowd of people that were in there but immediately I was greeted with complete silence from the workers, but when other people came in they had no problem greeting their other customers. I typically never pay attention to things like that because at the end of the day I'm there for the seafood. Since I was visiting my friend, I decided that I would treat her to something a little more expensive and decided to try the Triple Shell Steamer Pot. When I left and went home, I was greeted with an extremely foul smell from the seafood. I was guaranteed that all products were fresh, but I see that's clearly not the case. I will NEVER be back here to buy any seafood products from you all ever again and I recommend that other people save their money and not waste...

VERY POOR AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!I sent my girl to get some crabs the guy that work there pick them out for her she don’t even eat them…so she asked him, he gave her six dead crabs and one was alive the other’s were rotted. I took them back because my house stink so bad and my refrigerator also her charger.. when I spoke to the lady at the cash register she was angry at me for asking for fresh crabs . She call my lady a liar in her face when she told her the guy picked them out which he admitted to but my point is customer service was extremely bad but the short lady who argued with me about her rotten product was so disrespectful and ugly. When you walk in the store you can smell it it. It’s Disgusting. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

As you see whoever she is she is the worst customer service you will encounter.. that store probably lost a lot of business because of her attitude. Her response was more argumentative and lies.....

I reserved TWO bushels of oysters 9 DAYS PRIOR to a Birthday/New Year's Eve party. Arriving at 3pm on the day of the event, I was shocked to hear, "I don't have your order ... perhaps you called it in elsewhere ... you should have arrived earlier and I may have been able to provide it..." I was stunned—knowing I had 15+ avid oyster eaters arriving in a few hours for oysters that wouldn't be there. Earp's managed to round up one bushel of oysters for me, but I was left frantically calling other suppliers to find the remaining portion of my order that Earp's had refused to provide.

Having been a loyal customer of Earp's for more than 20+years, I was shocked by their total disregard of my sudden plight that their mismanagement had created. They need to do a better job at providing dependable customer service if they wish to keep their clientele. Sadly, my friends and I will be taking our business elsewhere...
