This is going to be pretty detailed, as I've experienced both the awesome and not so exceptional in my one, going on two, years here.
Pros:
Cons:
Overall, its a pretty convenient place for young professionals, at a so-so price, who want to be downtown; but families or older couples may not like all the issues. There are newer/nicer apartments behind The Manor, that I believe are about the same price, but offer less community engagement opportunities. If free little events aren't your thing, you might want to consider...

First off, the amenities here are great! The pool is fantastic, great place to hang on Sundays sipping on a cold beer or cocktail. The rooftop lounge is perfect for a chill evening with friends, catching the sunset, or just enjoying the view of downtown. There's also a community center which is cozy and modern with a pool table, kitchen area with free Keurig coffee, and it's all around a great spot to hang out or meet some neighbors during resident events. There are a ton of improvements coming including new pool area furniture, a pickleball court, and a golf simulator, so this place will likely get even better over the coming years.
As for location. These apartments are in a quiet neighborhood off of Atlantic at the end of Six Forks Rd. It's just a few minutes north of downtown, close to Lynnwood Brewing and Ironworks, and it's 2 minutes to Midtown Plaza which has Trader Joe's, Wegmans, and some nice shops and restaurants. Solid location overall if you don't want to be downtown but still want to be close to the action.
The vibe since new management took over has been amazing. Sara, the community manager, is just plain awesome. She's one of those people who's always on the ball, super helpful, and genuinely cares about the community here, which is really important to me. She listens and more importantly she'll take action to fix problems and make you feel taken care of. Everyone here is super friendly and accommodating and they seem to actually care about the residents. Many of them actually live on site, so they're invested, lol. Definitely an overall vibe that's hard to find nowadays, and a total 180 from previous management. Feels like this place is on the up and up now.
As for the apartments themselves. I'm in a 2BR that was renovated right before I moved in, and it's spacious and modern. I love the hardwood floors, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Also love having an in-unit washer/dryer and a dedicated laundry room (great if you have a cat / litter box). I learned that this place is in the middle of even more renovations, so if you're considering moving here, they've likely already fully renovated the apartment you'll be moving into, which will be nice.
The apartments also include a massive gated parking garage for residents, and parking is included (no silly parking fees). The parking here is amazing and a huge perk. The gym here is also huge, they have a lot of great equipment (including a rowing machine, hopefully a newer one coming), there are locker rooms with a steam room, and when you're done expending calories, there's a bottle shop with a bar attached to the building where you can hang out and grab a beer or a wine to gain all those calories back again, because you've earned it. The bottle shop has events like trivia night and music bingo, etc. Another nice perk.
All in all, if you’re looking for a place that’s got the location, the amenities, spacious modern living, and genuinely stellar people running it, you should definitely put it on your list and come check it out for a tour. You won't be disappointed. Hope this review helped and cheers to making...
Read moreA Remarkable Transformation Under New Management, Led by the Exceptional Sara Daniels
I can't help but express my sheer amazement at the remarkable transformation that has taken place at Manor Six Forks under the new management of Dinerstein Companies, with the shining star being none other than the incredible Property Manager, Sara Daniels.
Under the former management of Waterton, Manor Six Forks resembled more of a slum than a desirable living space. It was dirty, unkempt, and insecurity loomed in the air, creating an environment that was far from conducive to happiness. However, with Sara Daniels at the helm, the change has been nothing short of astonishing.
Sara has not just managed the property; she's taken it upon herself to build a true community. The introduction of engaging events, a festive holiday spirit, and the delightful ambiance of music in the lobby through Alexa have injected life and vibrancy into the once gloomy atmosphere. The addition of new furniture, water infused with fruits, a sparkling clean pool, and recreational amenities like a golf simulator and pickleball court have elevated the living experience to unprecedented heights.
One of the most commendable aspects is Sara's proactive approach to remodeling apartments, breathing new life into the living spaces. It's not just about the physical changes; it's about creating a home, a place that residents can truly call their own.
What sets Sara apart is not just her managerial skills but her genuine kindness and unwavering dedication to the well-being of the residents. She has a remarkable ability to connect with people, especially the younger residents, making them feel heard and valued. Her grace and positivity, even in the face of challenges, have turned what was once a dumpster fire into a beacon of hope for all of us who call Manor Six Forks home.
I must admit, I used to hate living here, but now, thanks to Sara and her team, I can see a significant improvement in the quality of life. The value for my dollar has gone beyond my expectations, and I am genuinely excited about the great things to come.
To those in charge, please recognize the gem you have in Sara Daniels. She is a rare find in the world of property management – a true leader who cares deeply about the well-being of the community. Don't mess it up for the rest of us; take good care of her, so she can continue to work wonders for the residents here.
And to any residents who may resist the new rules and boundaries, let's remember that these changes are for the better. The complaints often come from those who were content with the neglect and chaos of the past – a mindset that doesn't contribute positively to community living. Let's embrace the positive changes and work together to make Manor Six Forks a thriving, happy place for everyone.
In gratitude to Sara Daniels, her team, and the visionaries who brought positive change to our community. Here's to a brighter future at the New...
