I didn't have a single issue at the Costco pharmacy in Garner. Since moving, the last three months (4 visits), every single visit has been filled with issues and taken up 30-40 minutes of my time. One time they literally got my medication, then my child's and lost my child's then made me wait while they refilled it, then refilled it with a stronger dose then they were supposed to and had to refill it again. Every single time I have to change my address and every single time they assure me it's been changed and every single time it's not. Last time they didn't give me a gel I was supposed to get, that they texted me was ready. I forgot to say something, so this time I said something. The manager at the counter argues with me, not wanting to listen to the issue, saying I have to get out of line and go talk to someone at the window. I try to tell her I have a text saying it was ready and when I went to pick up my meds last time it wasn't there. Then said oh well the texts says it will be restocked soon so go to the window. I JUST said I went to pick it up when it said it was ready. Then the woman at the window "checks" things 3 times and tells me I can get it over the counter...she shows me it's $30 for name brand vs $10 for their brand behind the counter I got in Garner. I explain that's not what I wanted, got last time, and that their text said they had in stock. Then she tries to tell me the text must have been from Garner and starts tapping on my text to see the number. I told her "I have not been to Garner costco in 3 months" and this text has a date of 10 days ago. She goes to check the in the back a 3rd time. Mind you there's a huge line now and I've been there over 30 minutes. I just left and will find a new pharmacy. Nevermind it's a snails pace getting in and out of the parking lot and navigating through pure chaos even in the afternoon on a Tuesday-this place has...
Read moreGenerally, I am a big fan of Costco and they typically have outstanding service. The same cannot be said for their pharmacy services. We have been using Costco’s pharmacy for our dog’s insulin. We recieced a text as usual to refill the prescription and receive confirmation it was in process. It was taking a bit longer than usual so I called them only to be informed they no longer carry that medicine as the contract ended. And they have no plans to continue it.
Ok that’s a business decision and if that is the case then that is their right to do that. However, no contact was made to us to let us know. This insulin is life saving medicine for our dog and the prescription is time sensitive for being filled. The lack of care and empathy from the pharmacist that handled the call also left a lot to be desired.
It is frustrating that no contact was attempted or made and they blamed it on their text system. You clearly saw the refill request was sent to so why not call and explain the situation.
Anyways I hope this feedback is taken into account as this is just bad service and bad handling of a sensitive topic such as the health of my dog! Would not use or recommend their service for...
Read moreI love Costco every department in most locations we have been to. But at the Wake Forest Road location near Raleigh NC I have had experienced less then the friendly norm at other Costco Pharmacies. Once the woman scolded me for not standing behind the yellow post with the line starts here sign, which was turned around to the back of the post so we just didn't see it. Today we had another woman get annoyed with the way our info had been entered. And yet another staff member called us back up even though we had told her the 1st staff employee was fixing the errors only to be told to come up anyhow then be told again that we had to wait for the error to be fixed. I feel that all we needed to know was there was problem not of our doing that needed to be corrected before we could get the scripts. These were three different women on two different occasions. Disappointing as most staff at Costco are very friendly and helpful in our experience. Think we will arrange for our scripts to be mailed...
