I had a lot of prior work done at another dentist that didnāt end up well at all. I was/am having BEYOND extreme pain in a 𦷠I had filled about 6mnts ago. I had 3 𦷠extracted and 4 filling done in one day, so I know the diff between a ātooth acheā ibuprofen will work on and NEXT LEVEL, unbelievable, shooting nerve pain. This wakes me up several times a night, is causing unbelievable headaches(which I never get), and is keeping me from being able to eat, literally. I am starving!! any pressure, heat, or cold causes 5-10 MINS of the most intense pain Iāve ever felt.. and I have severed an arm, broken numerous bones, and have had hip displacia so I know pain. So they were great and got me in today 20mins after I called. It is an emergency. I was grateful for that. The dentist, Dr Seth R. Was very helpful in relieving a lot of concerns I had about the work that had been done that I was now coming to him for. Dropped the other DDS.. he messed me up bad. Ex: he filled a tooth that I had to go back for a week later for an infection and he proceeded to tell me that tooth needs a root canal. What DDS have any of you all been to that fills a tooth that needs a RC? Anyway, today was a fantastic visit, nice people, Very professional. I had a totally different feeling in Midtown than my old DDS.. it felt like they wanted to help and didnāt just want my $$. I WILL say this.. although I understand how times have changed.. I was/am truly in severe, almost uncontrollable acute pain. He offered me some anti-biotics(which I appreciated!) and a referral to a specialist. I am calling and scheduling an appt with them tomorrow, but Iām at the point truly that Iām thinking I may have to go to the ER bc of the pain Iām in. Didnāt even think about asking him while thereā¦. I just canāt imagine what I am going to do until this specialist can see me. Itās constant. I expressed all of this to him as well. I just feel there is a good reason to control pain meds better for sure, But there are instances when these new ārulesā and tight control are making non-addicts suffer. The government needs to admit that the problem is fentanyl and a small part of the deaths are prescription related. We all know it. Not everyone is a druggie so not everyone should be blanketed by this policy. I am suffering and I went to the dentist to fix my problem today?? Just strange. No-insurance/self pay customer as well so.. itās tough. Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my routine 6-month cleaning with Kim B. today. Bless her heart dealing with me as I hate cleanings due to sensitive teeth, but she takes her time and makes sure I am very comfortable every moment. As she was scraping, she realized one of my tiny fillings from over twenty years ago was missing. She alerted Dr. Razavi who offered to repair it right away. Being the big baby I am regarding dental work, I balked intially, but he assured me I would be fine - and I truly was fine. After initial encouragement from Kim, I was led to another room where Dr. Razavi and Jean calmly talked me through everything. They were very patient as they waited for the novocaine to take effect, and then had to administer more twice, per my normal course. The entire time, I never felt like they were in a hurry or irritated with my nervousness. Every word and action felt reassuring.
I have been a patient since before the name change to Midtown Dental and have always felt welcomed by total professionals. Tara and all the ladies at the front desk are so friendly always helpful. I've been very pleased with Dr. Rumley and Dr. Raj's examinations as well as their time to talk through dental questions. What a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been receiving dental care from Midtown (formerly Whitehurstās Dental) for almost 30 years and Iāve always received excellent service. Kimberly E. Maes has always been my hygienist and she is second to none. She does an excellent job cleaning my teeth and she has NEVER caused me any pain, never. Monica is an excellent office manager who is very knowledgeable and engaging. She knows how to make a patient feel welcome. Tara sets the tone for the office because sheās (majority of the time) is the first person you see and she has a unique smile that says welcome without saying a word. Dr. Whitehurst is the best dentist Iāve had. He was very people friendly. Dr. Rumley was very young when he started and I was hesitant about him, but he proved himself worthy and has done well.
It takes us about an hour and a half to arrive at the office and the traffic can be horrendous but we decided against going to a new dentist because Midtown Dental has been very good to us and provided excellent services for years.
Thank you Midtown for all...
