I had a root canal done at Raleigh Endodontics a few days ago.I was literally scared to do this procedure, but I knew I had to do it.I looked up some endodontists and I selected Dr.Dalzell from the list. When I called to make the appointment, Amanda was very courteous, polite, professional and easy to talk to.She scheduled my appointment and sent me reminders about same. When I walked into the office on the day of my appointment it was clean and welcoming. After I was checked in by Amanda,I was taken into a room by Renae who was also very warm and polite. She did a few routines first before Dr.Dalzell came in the room. She was so professional and kind. She answered a few questions I had about the procedure. Then Dr.Dalzell came into the room and I immediately knew I had made the right choice. He said hello, mentioned my name and gave me a fist bump. What a wonderful, professional human being! He told me about the procedure.Dr.Dalzell was very detailed in his explanations. He asked me if I had any questions before doing the procedure.During the procedure, I did not feel any pain, or discomfort;I was very comfortable.Dr.Dalzell communicated with me during the procedure which increased my level of comfort.I did not have any pains and I did not have to take any pain medication after the procedure.Dr.Dalzell told me that they would call me the next day to see how I am doing and Amanda did call the following day.I keep asking myself if this is real.Dr.Dalzell is the best.I would recommend anyone to visit Raleigh Endodontics if you have a root canal to be done, or any other procedure that he specializes in.I had to give 5 stars.I wish I could give 10 stars.Wonderful and caring staff at Raleigh Endodontics.
I gave my reviews to Dr.Dalzell too quickly. My reviews were based off the reception in the office, the knowledge he seems to have about root canals and how pain- free the process was.However,Dr.Dalzell did not recommend that I come back to his office to check if the root canal was done properly.A very technical procedure like that should have been given a post check up and because I have never done the procedure before,I was not aware that he should have done that.He told me before I left his office to make sure I go to a dentist in four weeks and get the permanent filling done.Looking back now, I am thinking that it does not make any sense to do a permanent filling when he was not even sure if the root canal was successful. He should have done another x-ray after to ensure that there were no issues, but he did not. So, I went to a dentist on September 18 to do the permanent filling. The dentist did an x-ray and showed me that the permanent filling cannot be done because Dr.Dalzell did not do the procedure properly. He showed me the x-ray and the part of the tooth that had a dark color just like it was before I went to Dr.Dalzell. The dentist said he must have missed something and there is no way he could do the filling because it will cause problems. He gave me an x-ray of the tooth as evidence. I called Dr.Dalzell office immediately.I was distraught that this dentist who earned my trust, could have done something like that as a professional who was so warm and seemed caring.Amanda, the front desk receptionist came on the line trying to make up stories and cover in every way she could. She called the dentist I went to and told some things that were not true, then came back to say this is what she told the dentist. She is not even a dentist. Why was she even speaking to me instead of Dr.Dalzell who did the procedure? I felt like they all knew that the procedure was not done properly because I did call Amanda and asked her to send a copy of the result over to the dentist that would do my filling , I believe in August, and she told me that they were not able to send x-ray images to another dentist because of some nonsensical reason she gave. So, I asked her to send it to me instead and when it came I could not get it to open even though she gave instructions. This dentist now deserves 1 star or zero star so I have ...
Read moreI needed a root canal and Raleigh Endodontics were in-network with Delta Dental (my insurance at the time). I called and they were able to schedule me for an appointment just a few days away, fantastic considering another endodontist I called couldn't see me for weeks. The office assistant, Amber I think, was very informative and answered all my questions. I was pleasantly surprised to find they would do the consultation and treatment at the same appointment, saving me time and getting the problem fixed sooner! When I arrived for my appointment Covid protocol was in place but very easy to comply with. The technician, Kim, was very informative and courteous as she prepped me for the examination and then the treatment. I felt so comfortable and fully informed for my entire appointment. The doctor was also very informative and took time to answer my questions before treatment began. The treatment itself went very well. The doctor kept me informed the whole time and let me know when he was halfway done and when there was 10 mins left. Doing this eased my mind. They also checked in with me throughout treatment to make sure I was comfortable which was great. Post-treatment, Kim the technician taught me helpful jaw stretches and gave me information on managing the soreness I would likely feel for the next few days. The day after treatment, Amber the office assistant called to check in on me. Overall I am very pleased with my experience at Raleigh Endodontics. The entire staff is kind, courteous, and professional. While I hope I don't need another root canal again, if I did I would definitely consider coming back because this...
Read moreThis place is amazing! I called first thing in the morning on a Monday since I had been in a great amount of pain over the weekend and they were able to see me that day. The girl that made my appointment made sure to explain everything to me and really seemed to care, she also called me back to let me know how much my insurance would cover towards the procedure and what I would have to pay out of pocket. When I got there for my appointment everyone that I spoke to was kind and professional. Dr. Dalzell was awesome, and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. He was quick to determine what the root of the problem was. It was my first root canal so everyone could tell I was nervous, but Dr. Dalzell made sure to explain everything. The procedure itself didn’t hurt at all, and the following days I had little to no pain. Everyone that works here is amazing, I just can’t say enough good things about all of them. Hopefully I won’t need another root canal anytime soon, but if I do, I will be coming back here. I have already recommended Dr. Dalzell to a few of my family...
