The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Raleigh

I hadn't been there in probably 8 years. The lady that helped me was professional, but that's as far as it went 🥴😄. I mentioned how excited I was to come in because I hadn't been there in years and she literally never lifted her eyes. I felt like I was trying so hard to be nice and pleasant and she was just basically a robot. The lady that came in after me was elderly and she was trying so hard to be nice and again the employee was just sort of ignoring her attempts at engaging her, and sticking to the basics. I mean, that's fine, but when you're going out of your way to be pleasant it's nice to have someone be pleasant back. The food was good but I tried to ask a couple of questions and she just really didn't seem like she wanted to answer them so I just ordered something I hadn't really planned on ordering, and got out of there quickly. The potato salad was no different than potato salad you can grab at the grocery store. If I go back I'll try something different and I'll hopefully have a different server. I really enjoy the lunch sandwiches at Honeybaked - Turkey Classic is my favorite; however, the service at this store is always a bit wonky. During my most recent visit I was first in line with 2 people behind me. I ordered 2 sandwich combos and went to go fill my drinks from the fountain. I came back and the other 2 in line had placed their orders and were doing the same thing. The only difference is they received their sandwich combos before mine. All of the ingredients for mine were in the sandwich station, so it's not like we were waiting on fresh turkey or anything. It's just that apparently making 2 sandwiches is harder than making one, so they pushed my order back. If this was a one time occurrence I would not be mentioning it in a review, but a similar situation happened on 2 other visits. This doesn't bother me too much, which is why I continue to return, but it's hard to convince others to join me at Honeybaked if they don't want to go for this reason. The food is delicious, so I hope they figure out the order fulfillment...

I reserved two oven roasted turkey breasts for pick up two days before Thanksgiving. I took a half a day of vacation in order to pick up before evening rush hour. After waiting 15 minutes to get into the parking lot and then an additional wait once I got into the store (I counted over 50 people ahead of me), I found that they didn’t have the turkey breasts. They weren’t interested in my reservation number at all- just asked what I ordered and told me they were out. I offered to wait off to the side for a bit but they informed me that they were working on hams and that they would have some oven roasted turkey in the evening. What is the point of reserving online? This was really frustrating and I had to come up with an alternative since I was supposed to be traveling (with turkey) out of state to a family gathering in the morning.
