Touch of Sam Lymphatic Massage Spa — Local services in Raleigh

I purchased the couples massage as a Groupon for my husband’s bday based on seeing good reviews, but ended up very very disappointed and out of my money. I was charged taxes on top of my Groupon purchase which was not listed on the site at all and honestly I shouldn’t have paid them for that reason. We arrived early for our appt because my husband needed to fill out his form. We were greeted by a really nice receptionist and an entire suite full of burnt hair smoke and loud hair dryers running. I was confused and asked the receptionist if we were in the right place or if we would expect relaxation bc the smoke and noise was over powering! My husband was never asked to fill out his forms, we sat soaking for a while until the water was completely cold. Although we were early, things started late/past our appointment time. During this time it was no relaxation as a nail tech sat in front of us on her phone in a tight space (it was awkward) and children and others came in and out of the room. This is a hair salon, nail salon, and it has a massage room. I really should have left as my first instinct but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. There was no massage, just oils rubbed on with no pressure. The facial left my face so dry as it was put on and just wiped off with hot towels. I felt most relaxed by the heated bed and hot towel. I was very disappointed in the fact that I spent so much and my husband’s gift was ruined with no sense of relaxation. Everything down to the chocolate was a joke and Idt the ladies we saw were licensed to massage. I’ve just never had a “massage” like that. I don’t recommend this place at all and it’s sad because I like to support my own. My voucher was redeemed by the establishment prior to even being able to discuss anything with the receptionist so I was out of my money per the Groupon policy. I wanted to suck up my experience due to hoping that my husband’s was the bomb, but it was not for him either as his massage was just like wine with oils rubbed on the top of your body part with no massage and pressure applied. They are over selling on Groupon and it’s sad because multiple people will lose money through Groupon. The massage, facial, foot scrub, and back scrub totaled an hr together and the other 20+ minutes (because we were early and they started late) consisted of our feet soaking in water. I will not buy big purchases through Groupon and I will not book any more spa services that I’m not familiar with. My husband called to speak to the manager and never received a call back. It was all a lesson learned, sadly a very disappointing one. The one good thing is that the receptionist was nice the entire time and tried to maintain professionalism the entire time and I tipped off her being nice but honestly I shouldn’t tip for bad...

Ok! So, I was desperately trying to find something to do for my son for his 22nd Birthday. I never did the massage thing before (pampering has never been something I thought I could afford)

I called Touch of Sam. It was so late in evening. I had so many Questions and I did not think that I could pull it off, but at that moment..Enter Dena! Not only did she patiently listen to me and All of the questions that I had , but she immediately educated me! She then made what I thought would be impossible, possible! She got us in the very next day!

My son didn't know so when we walked in, he was confused but you can tell that he could feel the warm and positive energy in the room! Then Dena came out and surprised the Birthday boy by telling him why we were there!

Before he got started, Ari (THE AMAZING) esthetician came out and began going over all of the lavish things that they had planned for him! He was so excited! But I mentioned that he had never had a message before and did not know what to expect as well as informing her of my son's medical condition. You could see the care and concern she had!

She decided that a tweek should be made to his spa day... she expressed her concern for my son's issue to the manager and came back to me with an idea to suggest. She offered an option to incorporate a CBD oil into his treatment and she educated me on the benefits of the treatment.

Then she surprises by telling me that the up charge for that was almost nothing!.. Ari, Sam and Dena then went to work on my son!!! What they did for him was Miraculous!! They not only pampered him but they treated him like a king for his Birthday!

They even put together a beautiful arrangement of samples of products that would benefit him as a gift but when Dena brought him out, she treated him like a great mom would and made sure that he knew how to use the recommended products for his skin!!

Not only were they kind, caring and informative - They are extremely Gracious!! They even looked after me throughout the whole time I sat and waited! Checking in on me, offering me beverages and even a complimentary foot soak! While I waited!!! I am taking my daughter back for treatment of her exema and will come up with more reasons to keep going back!! We didn't experience a business today.

We experienced a beautiful and amazingly talented group of skilled individuals with heart who truly care about those that come to them! You wanna get pampered And cared for?!? It is so worth it to go no where else but...

I was referred to Touch of Sam by my surgeon for post surgery lymphatic massages. I had never had one of these massages before, so I had no idea what to expect. The owner, Samantha, was so warm and welcoming upon my first visit, and she was very knowledgable about where and how hard to apply pressure, as I was still only two weeks out from surgery. I noticed a difference in the amount of swelling immediately, and she was so gentle! I decided to purchase a package for ten lymphatic massages, and once they were done, I purchased 10 more. Samantha used varying techniques on my body as I continued to heal, and by the end of my second package, not only did I feel almost no swelling, my body composition had changed drastically. Her spa is beautifully appointed, very calming, and extremely clean. Because of how satisfied I was with the lymphatic massages, I decided to purchase the massage membership for customized massages. I have gone twice so far, and when I say they are amazing, they are AMAZING. Samantha knows exactly where problem areas are just from touch - she found some I had no idea were bothering me! I left her table feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. I have tried many spas in the past, but Touch of Sam is where I feel the most valued and cared for. You will not regret coming to Samantha for any self-care needs...
