I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gustitos al Paladar in Raleigh with my family, and it was an excellent experience! We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was bursting with authentic Peruvian flavors.
I ordered the Lomo Saltado, which was deliciously savory, though I would suggest a little less emphasis on the French fries to balance the dish better. My wife had the Jalea, and it was beautifully fried and flavorful—easily a standout. We also shared Papa a la Huancaína, which was creamy and rich, and the Chicha Morada, which was refreshing and perfectly sweet.
What truly made our visit exceptional was the warm hospitality. The waiters and manager went above and beyond, treating us to complimentary Leche de Tigre glasses at the start of our meal, which was a delightful and flavorful touch. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a family outing.
Overall, Gustitos al Paladar offers a wonderful taste of Peru with excellent service and authentic dishes. We’ll definitely be back to explore more...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Gustitos al Paladar, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant offers a delightful array of Peruvian dishes that are both authentic and delicious. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was impeccable. As a Peruvian, the seasoning is homemade and authentic, it reminded me of my grandmother's seasoning. A very welcoming environment and fresh food.
The ceviche, anticuchos, and picarones were excellent. Definetely will come back for the food! Also what stood out was the outstanding customer service provided by Jossy. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. The attention to detail and the overall dining experience exceeded my expectations.

Read moreWonderful people and delicious Peruvian food! My daughter recently returned from almost 3 months in Peru, where she loved the food. So, we decided to try this place for lunch. The appearance from the outside gave us pause, but we trusted the other reviewers and went for it. We’re glad we did. Between the two of us, we know un poquito Español, and our waitress only knew un poquito Ingles. Once we were able to communicate this, an even more helpful woman came to give us a lengthy description of the menu items, including her recommendations. Afterward, we all agreed it was a good opportunity for us to practice our Spanish while the waitress could practice her English 🙂 I had the Ceviche Gustitos (picante), which was excellent. My daughter had the Lomo Saltado, which she said was as good as any she had tried in Peru. Overall, the atmosphere is lacking, and it feels a bit more like a nightclub, but the food and the people more than...
