Usually you get the best food in a hole in the wall joint like this, but here you might just get food poisoning to go along with it. I don't know which looked greasier, the restaurant or the cook who was preparing the food (without gloves). I felt like I needed a shower after leaving this place, it probably hasn't been swept in about a month. Very run down. The walls looked sticky. The food was mediocre at best. The bread sits on trays in a side room like it's asking for something to crawl all over it. There was very little soap in the men's room to wash up...the cap was sitting beside the bottle and it looked as if someone had put water in it and shaken it up to make more soap. The salt shaker at my table had ketchup all over it. I can't imagine the field day a health inspector would've had if they had walked in with me. The one good thing I can say about this place was that the owner was there and he was very nice, but I won't be returning here to eat. Do yourself a favor and drive by this one, you'll be sorry...

I’ve been coming to Philly Steak N Subs for over 20 years, and it’s hands-down one of the best spots in town. This place is truly a staple in the community – the kind of local gem that keeps people coming back generation after generation.
The cheesesteaks and chicken cheese subs are always made fresh, served piping hot, and absolutely delicious every single time. The quality has never wavered over the years, which is rare to find these days. You can tell they take pride in every sandwich they make.
The owner is one of the friendliest people you’ll meet – I’m always greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. It’s that kind of welcoming atmosphere that makes Philly Steak N Subs more than just a restaurant — it feels like home.
If you’re looking for great food and even better people, this is the place. Highly...
Read moreCraving a philly cheesesteak and saw this place had decent reviews. While the flavors themselves stacked up and the service was fine, theres one major point that killed it all; the bread.
I've had a lot of cheesesteaks over the years, some in Philly, many not, but never have I had one that was untoasted or not layered to make sure the bread isn't immediately soggy. The opened my sandwhich within a minute of getting it and the bread was already soaked through. Wet bread is never good I would have happily waited 2 extra minutes for a toasted piece of bread to avoid this. There wasn't anyone else in there (went right around their opening time) so I see no reason it shouldn't have happened.
I ended up taking the rest of my sandwhich home after the first few bites and toasting a sub roll myself. Tasted great but not something I...
