TLDR - Boston Petit and Justin Tice have brought us all Starlit Lodge, a room that stands tall and boldly trades blows in contention for the crown of best escape room in Omaha.
When I wrote my original review of Entrap Games (available in its unedited entirety below) I did not anticipate ever being presented a convincing enough reason to raise it from 1 star to 3, let alone to the 5 I must rightfully award them now. I had the fortune to be among the first invited to play the newest room at Entrap Games, Starlit Lodge, and I have been thoroughly impressed.
I must say that if you are looking for endless chain of combination locks in a room where the story and theme are tragically forgotten then Starlit Lodge is not the room for you; especially since there is, refreshingly, not a combo lock to be found. If instead, like myself and cohorts who solved this room with me, you are seeking a highly immersive experience that leaves you craving more this is an absolute must try.
Boston and Justin have presented a room that allows you to suspend your disbelief and "entrap" yourself in the story they have crafted from start to finish. I found that though the puzzles are not extremely difficult (around 3/5 in its current iteration) they do a wonderful job of pushing you from one place to the next and giving you a sense of satisfaction with each milestone you reach throughout the course of the solve. Nothing felt superfluous and everything you do contributes to your forward progress.
Contrary to my previous review, Entrap Games now has a room that is, beyond a shadow of doubt, worth your time and money.
Boston and Justin have done a highly commendable job demonstrating their passion for game building, and if this is the standard to be expected of future rooms at Entrap Games then the competition better watch out.
Original Review: "Completed and "escaped" the LiCastro's Lair but was very disappointed in the experience. TLDR - Would not go again to this providers rooms, take your money to other places if you want to really have fun.
Puzzles were not very thematic (lots of combo locks, switches, and even black light writing that did not fit well with the castle/vampire "theme") and did not actively lead you onto the next puzzle in meaningful ways. The room also had some very frustrating time wasting puzzles that were right alongside meaningful puzzles in a way that you couldn't clearly differentiate. Puzzles did not actively push players to interact with each other or foster a real sense of team building/comradely. The ending was more a relief that we could leave vs a victory that filled you with a sense of accomplishment.
The room additionally felt really cheap in structure, props, and even game control measures (baby monitor used vs a proper microphone/display). No where near the same standard of other providers that charge the same price.
Highly encourage would be solvers to seek other providers for their entertainment until provider either lowers prices to match their experiences or steps up there games to provide worthwhile enjoyment."

Read moreDo not go here! My husband tried to plan a wonderful birthday celebration for me and scheduled out almost three four weeks in advance to hold the room we wanted. 3 days before the day of my birthday celebration they called us and stated they would need to change the room we were going to have because the one we reserved had some broken things in it and needed to be fixed. Fine, thatâs not the problem. The problem started when they forgot to mention they moved the time back by 30 minutes and didnât tell us. Come us being out at our dinner reservation and ready to leave for Entrap when we get a call. Our reservation was canceled because we were a no show! NO ONE TOLD US OUR TIME CHANGED!! Not only that but they would not refund us on it!! They stated we could reschedule for another time and put our money towards that day, but we had a group of 8 people and half of us have kids, and parents you know itâs hard to line up schedules with adults who have kids and especially with that many people. Side note to this, a friend of ours had shown up to the parking lot of entrap early waiting for the rest of us to join. While he was sitting there he could see people going in and out of the front entrance and into a car while hot boxing in it, including the manager who made the call to us to cancel. We had begged them to wait for us because we were literally 5 min away and they had no other reservations but they turned that down because they wanted to speed off and close early as witnessed by our friend who was waiting. (And for anyone asking why our friend didnât go in and hold it for us, he wouldâve but he knew what time we thought it was didnât go in while waiting for us and when we tried to get them to stay they sped off not 5 min after canceling on us) finally, when I called to complain and try to get our money back the same manager spoke to me said we were in the wrong and there was nothing more he could do. I asked him to reach out to the district manager and he took down my info. To this day I have heard nothing. Theyâve stolen $200 from me and my friends. And theyâve done nothing to make it right. Do not...
Read moreWe came in with a group of 6 for my birthday and everyone in the group had done an escape room before. We had heard such good things about Entrap games and were super excited to try. We decided to do LaCastros Lair . Upon arriving the staff was friendly and showed us the room, went over the rules etc. He then stated that if we needed help at any point we were allowed 3 clues. We could like their Facebook page. Do a dance, a song or a joke I believe and those would earn us a clue. He then asked if we understood and had us repeat the ways we would be given clues. After watching a short video, the game began. It started off super well and we were all impressed with how the room was set up. However after solving a few of the puzzles we were working on another and the guy working comes on the two way radio and gives us a clue. Keep in mind we did not ask for one nor were we stuck long at this point. This happened 5 or more times throughout the night. He was constantly giving us hints that truthfully made the room entirely too easy. Needless to say we escaped with 16 minutes still left on the clock. I am upset because for the money paid I do not feel like were given a good experience. The point is to immerse yourself in the theme and that cant happen with someone constantly talking to you from a different room. And keep in mind we knew how to get clues and never once had asked for one clue, let alone 5 or 6. . I had really high Hopes for Entrap games but truthfully do not know if we will be back nor will we be recommending you to any friends in the near future.
Update: We decided to give this place another try for my daughters 21st bday and had an AMAZING experience!! Starlit Lodge was so fun and...
