This particular location never seems to have more than 2 maybe 3 registers open and only one of the self check out lanes. It’s absolutely unacceptable on the part of management to have such limited staff at high traffic times. Typically all day Fridays and Saturdays. To have two registers open at peak times is completely unacceptable, and does little to differentiate Target from Walmart. If you’re going to have more self checkouts for me to do the job of what should be a well paid associates job maybe have ALL your self checkouts open. As a final note. The associate being very unhelpful and seated at the self check out on their phone while I’m 5 deep in the self checkout line is ridiculous. Honestly I expect more from Target. As an former retail employee for almost 10 years I know this has nothing to do with your associates and their ability to do their jobs. This is a management issue whether it’s at the store level or district manager keeping payroll in check. Your customers will steal and or not return, and in sure the employees are well aware of these issues and management needs to address it. That being said. I would like to continue to shop with Target. However if you can’t differentiate your front end experience from a truck stop self check out I will not return and be sure to share my dissatisfaction with...
Read moreI like this store for what it has and they try to keep relevant with their products, prices (where else can you find dragonfuit acai bowls for $3?), and trends, like self-checkout machines without nasties like cigarettes, drugs, lottery tickets, and they keep the alcohol tucked in a rarely-seen area. They can't always keep up with the demand, but they really try! Although they've had political views, I still hope they'll continue to bring in more vegan products from vegan/vegan-friendly companies I get that vegan companies change all the time (especially ice cream) and Target can't sell products that no longer exist - and it's my fault that I've changed too or am not able to buy everything - I don't buy yogurt anymore (too much plastic and lactobacillus bad for teeth), for instance.
That said, I can make suggestions for Target to look out for in the future (I personally don't like to buy refrigerated food, but that's where the good stuff is unfortunately): more varieties and quantity of canned corn Tattoed Chef's chicken parmesan 2nd shelf for Ripple pea milk (they keep running out) sliced cheese - Daiya, Follow Your Heart
Some of the points docked are for having so many animal products, as well as blockading the doors at night - when everyone's shopping. I'm really surprised this is allowed, being a...
Read moreOn the day I went with my kids to the store I had the section on the application where the wallet was already open. She did not know how to apply the cards I has on the application to the payment due. She scanned it and let me know the total again, I let her know that I had two gifts cards on my wallet and my payment information in the Target application. She stated "Oh, well I don't know how to do that". I asked her to try again and she said she didn't know how and just looked away. Luckily, I had one of the gift cards physically on me and my card. When I gave her my gift card she scanned it and said it wasn't working, she tried again and had me read the numbers on the card and it went thru. I proceeded to pay the remaining balance with my card.
I just did not appreciate how unhelpful she was and dismissive. Usually when I go, the cashiers are a great help and if they do not know how to process they call for help and not zone out and ignore...
