This is one of my favorite bakeries in this area. My company actually orders a lot of their cakes for employee birthdays or celebrations etc. I personally come here often for their cakes as well. I really enjoy it because their cakes are not ton sweet at all and tastes fantastic ! I've had their berry cream cake, their double chocolate cake, their mango, and one of their coffee flavors. SO delicious and would definitely recommend the berry one. It's not too sweet and has a great amount of cream. Another thing I would recommend is their cronuts and strawberry croissants. You should definitely order early or come here in the morning since those run out really quickly! So delicious and I would recommend the original one the most (since I'm not as big of a fan of their jam, which softens the Cronut). And another star for catering to my pups !!! So they won't have to watch while the humans eat a birthday cake. They make their own pupcakes which I also tried.. it's a strong peanut butter flavor but dog friendly and my puppies love these treats ! They seriously go NUTS over them every time I come back home with one. The staff is also very kind ! Would recommend. I also dropped by for a quick soup one time- it was not bad, a little greasy but overall very tasty.

Whether you're look to get a slice of cake or a whole cake you're bound to find it here! They have a wide selection of cookies, muffins, and fruit tarts. You can also place orders for custom cakes for any occasion you're celebrating. For this trip we took home a large tiramisu cake, taro flavored slice of cake, and a crème brûlée. The tiramisu was very creamy and a hit with everyone back at home. The young lady who served us was even nice enough to write happy birthday on a little plaque for the cake! The taro flavored cake was not overly sweet and the sponge cake was not to dry or too moist. Over all a good cake for someone who just try something new. The crème brûlée was very delicious! The custard was very sweet and almost a pudding texture. Only complaint was the the caramelized sugar was not hardened when we dug in but that could have been our fault for putting it in the fridge and not eating it right away. Not into anything sweet? No worries they also serve paninis for a savory appetite. Overall we will be returning again and taking family members to pick out their own desserts!

3.8 stars. I got a pecan bar, slice of matcha cake and a carrot cake cupcake. The pecan bar was delicious, I just love pecans. The matcha cake was my absolute favourite though. Very flavourful, light and fluffy frosting, and a nice matcha flavour, could have been stronger though. Now, the carrot cupcake was so disappointing. I love carrot cake, so I was really looking forward to the cupcake. It tasted stale like it had been in the refrigerator too long, the frosting had almost a chew to it, and I've never had chewy frosting before. I understand that throwing away goods can be very costly to any business, but once the pastries start to taste like fridge or lose their flavour, it's time to throw them away. Taste these pastries before you put them out and ask yourself, would I be happy about this if I were a customer?

I was drawn to this bakery because of the honey almond cake, but I was told that that flavor selection was discontinued awhile ago. Super hard to pick from the plethora of choices - but I saw several reviews that raved about the double chocolate cake. And since I assumed that one would be a little heavy, I also chose the mixed berries to hopefully even out the chocolate taste.

So glad that I tried these selections! I have to say that the double chocolate cake is one of my favorites - decadent, delicious, and so rich. I'm a fan of chocolate cake, but not chocolate cream - and yet I couldn't stop eating it! For $5.25 a slice, the pricing isn't too bad. The cake was pretty moist and had a great amount of chew in each bite while the cream was light but still packed a punch in taste. Ended up ordering this again the next time I visited because we all enjoyed it so much.

The mixed berries was also really nice. I was hoping it would compare to Porto's, and I think it's pretty close except that the cream from Mr. Baker's is more light and airy while the cake still has that moistness and sponginess in each bite. Good amount of berries that added some tartness to the dessert, and I really appreciated that they packed a lot of cream so you get a good amount of both cake and cream in each bite.

And we had to try their tiramisu. I believe it's also $5.25 a slice - it's pretty tasty but you can really taste the sweetness and heaviness of the dessert. There's a ton of cocoa powder on top, and as you take bite after bite, you can't help but hate yourself for continuing to eat and yet not want to stop. I probably wouldn't order this again and go with something different the next time I visit, but if you're a fan of sweets and tiramisu, give this flavor a try!

They have rainbow cakes, even a build your own cake selection where you can mix and match 8 different slices for a cheaper price. They sell whole cakes for around $30 and up, but if you enjoy exploring various flavors and trying different desserts, that build your own cake option is super nice. The slices of cake all look so uniform inside of the plastic covering that I almost expected the cakes to taste stale and artificial, but I was surprised by the moistness and richness of the flavors that I tried.

There's coffee, cupcakes, macarons, pastries, etc. This place is definitely a hidden gem for bakeries in Rancho; they're located in the Ross and Old Navy plaza - right by the Farmer's Market that they have on the weekends. Parking lot is huge, so that's never a problem. Workers are pretty friendly but they always seem to want you to hurry and order so you can get in and out. No minimum on card.

tl;dr - A new favorite place for cakes! Highly recommend their double chocolate cake and the mixed berries cake. Will be back to try more items...

I’ve visited Mr. Baker in Rancho Cucamonga several times, genuinely hoping each visit would be better than the last. I really wanted to love this place because it has so much potential but unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to expectations.

Atmosphere: The overall vibe of the café is actually very nice. The indoor seating is decent, while the outdoor area is a bit more spacious and comfortable (though you’re facing the street/plaza, so there’s no view). I’d give the overall seating a 7/10. It also seems like it would be a great study spot quiet, cozy, and inviting so I’d give the study vibe a 7/10 as well.

Staff: I’ve never had any issues with the staff. They’ve always been kind and welcoming, and I truly appreciate that. 10/10

The Bakery Items: This is where I’ve had the most consistent disappointment. The pastries and sweets often taste dry and seem like they’ve been sitting out for a while. It feels like freshness just isn’t guaranteed, which is unfortunate considering the pricing. Speaking of which — the items are on the pricier side, and it’s hard to justify the cost when the quality isn’t quite there. I think with some improvement in freshness and variety, this area could really shine. 0/10

Drinks: I’ve tried a few drinks now, hoping to find something I like, but unfortunately I haven’t enjoyed any of them. The flavors tend to be off, and I’d personally recommend focusing on perfecting a few staple drinks rather than offering a wide variety that doesn’t quite hit the mark.

Mr. Baker truly has the foundation for something great a beautiful space, kind staff, and a great concept. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it can help them improve, because I would love to see this place thrive. With some adjustments to the quality and freshness of the menu, I think it could easily become a...

Since I go to the Terra Vista Farmers Market, I've had my eye on Mr Baker since before they opened. Their grand opening was on August 11, 2016 and I attended with a fellow Yelper. We got to check out the bakery and had free samples.

Since that summer day in 2016, I've been back a few more times. I've purchased their cream-filled croissant with strawberries and green tea croissants. I've also tried their specialty coffee (latte etc.)When my sister had her baby, I bought a full box of a variety of their desserts (cakes, tarts, macarons etc.). I've also seen them at the RCHS event "A Taste of Rancho" in September 2016.

They were offering savory items (salad, pizza), but I don't think that was very successful. They offer sandwiches, but they are pre-made and refrigerated.

They do have an outdoor patio which is dog friendly and on some weekends, they were giving away free dog treats.

I've waited a while before finally writing this review, but with everything I've tried, I give them a solid 3 out of 5. It's just "OK". Some items are too sweet, some are unimpressive/forgettable and some I like. Just their their pastries, their customer service is also "hit or miss".

I didn't find myself coming back too often in 2017 and when I had to chose between local bakeries in Rancho Cucamonga in the same vicinity at least, I ended up at Cake Among Us (on Haven Ave in the same plaza as Anytime Fitness) ordering custom whole birthday cakes for my husband and sister-in-law's birthdays and opted for whole cakes/pastries for family get togethers from Paris Pastries (Haven & Foothill...
