The decor is nice and clean, and the tables are cleaned as soon as people vacate their booth or table. The food, however, is nothing to write home about, and as other reviewers have mentioned, don't expect your food to be hot. I ordered the mac-n-cheese for my kids, which was over-the-top greasy, a bbq chicken wrap, which was ok but had a concentrated gob of onion in it that made me spit it out into a napkin, and a plain cheese pizza for my wife. The pizza was the best part of the order... then again, it's hard to screw up a plain cheese pizza. The way they're setup goes is inefficient: first, you get in line in front of what you think is the hostess. However, this is not where you give them your name and you wait for them to call you up to take you to your table and a server introduces themselves. This is where you order your food and pay up front. A line that goes out the door is very easily created, which happened to us with only 3 couples ahead of us, two of which couldn't make up their minds about what they wanted to order. This works from a marketing standpoint as passersby see "a lot" of people, so they assume it's a place worthy of their time and money. Actually, the service is limited, but very friendly. Once you place your order they will bring it out to your table. Once they bring out your food they'll ask you if you need anything. If you don't, that's the last time you'll see them. Someone might come by and ask if can take a plate off your table. That's it. You get your utensils, you get your own plates, you get your own drinks. Overall, I was not impressed by this place. I could've gotten better food at comparable places (right off the top of my head I'm thinking the Lazy Dog and BJ's,). Stonefire's prices are reasonable, albeit a bit on the higher side of reasonable (for...
Read moreThe setup of this place is different. Kind of like sizzler used to be... order at the counter, be seated, then your food is brought to you. Some things were unclear, like the fact that we needed to get our own drinks and silverware. The counter to order was also confused - people moving to the front in front of people etc. Not that big of a deal, and the kinks may get worked out as they mature as a staff.
Food was mostly good. We had: BBQ chicken salad, tri tip, ribs, chicken, salmon, Ceasar salad, garden salad, bread sticks, roasted cauliflower, kids mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and a brownie between the 7 of us.
Almost across the board, all items needed salt and extra sauces, be it dressing or BBQ sauce. Tri tip got mixed reviews, most agreeing it was much better with bbq sauce. The small BBQ chicken salad was large enough for 2 to share as an entree. Cauliflower was good but the tahini sauce was not favored by all. Everyone loved the mashed potatoes. Breadsticks were nothing to crave, but fine. Salmon and chicken and ribs were enjoyed. Kids mac n cheese was a large portion but not "saucy" enough for my 3 year old.
The biggest bummer? My sister's portion of tri-tip was not delivered with the rest of the food. We mentioned several times to passing waiters. Never arrived. About 20 mins later, my dad went to the kitchen window to check on it. They had the tri tip ready but not the side they said.... um ok? Not acceptable. They did offer her a dessert to say sorry, but she couldn't accept due to dietary restrictions. So we ate her brownie, lol. Brownie was nothing exciting - heavy on sugar and not fudgy.
I like the majority of the food, and would try again, but if service doesn't improve soon, it...
Read moreMy recent visit to Stonefire Grill in Rancho Cucamonga left me thoroughly impressed and satisfied. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and excellent customer service. The ordering process was simple; we placed our order at the front counter, and our piping hot food was promptly delivered to our table.
We decided to try the Mac & Cheese and the South of the Border salad, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The Mac & Cheese was creamy, cheesy, and perfectly cooked, while the South of the Border salad was a refreshing blend of flavors with its crisp lettuce, zesty dressing, and an array of toppings. Each bite was a delight, and it's safe to say that Stonefire Grill knows how to satisfy its guests' taste buds.
The atmosphere at Stonefire Grill was inviting and comfortable, making it a great place for a casual meal with family or friends. The staff members were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch.
Another highlight of our visit was signing up for their membership program. Not only did we receive exceptional service, but we also got a $10 discount for our next visit. It's a fantastic way to reward loyal customers, and we're definitely looking forward to returning soon to enjoy more of Stonefire Grill's delectable offerings.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Stonefire Grill in Rancho Cucamonga for a memorable dining experience.
