I was not planning on being out of town and I went to this store to get a new outfit, as I hadnât brought a change of clothes. I was immediately impressed by the selection and complimented the buyer. I bought 6 items totaling $70. I didnât try the clothes on, as the way the security devices are attached, it is absolutely impossible anyway. So I took the clothes to my hotel room down the street and decided I wanted to exchange 2 of those items for something different because they didnât fit right. When I went back to the store two hours later, she first asked me why I had taken off the tag from the 1 item. I said I hadnât noticed the romper was too short in the kegs because I didnât have the full view. She tells me she shouldnât be returning them without the tag attached, but would make an exception for me. I told her I had never heard of Ross not returning an item I bought that day and that I had a receipt for. She replies that it is a customary practice in retail. So the 2 items are completed and I want to purchase 4 more items. The first item is a dress that I found in the womenâs workout section. It was clearly in the wrong place, and also did not have a price tag. I tell her this and when I tell her I found the dress over on the workout rack she responds by pointing to the back of the store, and says that their dresses are there. I reiterate that I found it randomly on the workout section rack. Now Iâm getting extremely frustrated because she is curt and sarcastic with every work she speaks to me. Now Iâm not certain if Iâm just being sensitive or she is actually being pretty much the rudest employee I have encountered. So I turn to my boyfriend and ask if he thinks sheâs being insanely rude and he agrees. I say I have never been treated this way before. Which, she in turn replies are you talking to me or amongst yourselves in the most inappropriate and confrontational manner. She then asks another employee who is fixing hangers as the live of people wait to be checked out, to grab her one of the Ross bags you sell for $1 and rings it in. I tell her I already bought the bag earlier that day and she has the receipt with that purchase in her hand. She loudly responds that she has taken off the 99 cents. As if I was supposed to pay again or not worry about being charged such a small amount. I am beyond infuriated at this point. I have to leave the store and my boyfriend completes our purchase. Her name is Nina. She completely ruined my experience which had been amazing earlier that day. She treated me rudely, argued with me, and insulted my intelligence and integrity. I will not return here now because of her. I am a loyal fan of Ross, but Nina lost my business at...
Read moreI love to shop at Ross because they have an assortment of items for the house as well as shoes, clothing and other personal items at a reasonable price. I also appreciate the discount they give senior citizens every Tuesday. They bring new items every week so that makes it more exciting to shop there. The only thing I'm disappointed with is the lack of store maintenance. Lately I have noticed a lot of items on the aisle floors. It makes it a very frustrating and uncomfortable shopping experience when you have to be either picking up items from the floor or going around them in order to be able to go through that aisle. Another thing is making too many narrow aisles in order to accommodate all their merchandise. You can barely fit a shopping cart through the aisle not to mention not being able to go through if there's another shopper in that aisle. Ross needs to look into this situation and maybe even hire more people to make it a pleasant shopping experience again. Rearranging your floor plan to give your customers more room to move around would be great. Getting rid of all the wire carts full of merchandise that are currently being used to make the check out lines is something that needs to be addressed as well. Maybe their corporate officers need to go shopping at one of their stores to experience the...
Read moreThereâs a heavyset Caucasian gal who works here in a supervisory positionâ I believe her name is Misty (unsure) she is sooooo incredibly sloppy and rude. When I asked her if she could go get me an alternate plant in exchange for the one I had grabbed that was dirty she looked at me and asked why I couldnât get it.
I was escorting my 80 year old grandma on that day while redecorating her bathroom and it wouldâve taken hours to walk to the rear of the store and back to the register to swap out that plant.
Needless to say, she DID NOT ASSIST ME! She demanded that I go swap out that plant myself. In addition to repeating her refusal to help me while chuckling to other employees in the register bay.
I explained that ADA laws require that reasonable accommodations be made for those who are disabled, not only for my grandma but myself as I too am disabled.
Nobody would assist... a sweet girl behind the register who was uninvolved eventually took care of the issue.
I spoke to store manager Patty later that evening who seemed uninterested in my...
