Ok, the wife and I are sticklers on customer service. Being business owners that pride ourselves on our customer service, we judge every business we walk into on their customer service. The number of businesses these days where you are greeted when you walk in the door OR THANKED WHEN YOU LEAVE is very, very low.

This business is one of those exceptions. When we hit the door, there was a little wonder in the back of the mind of how nice this place would be. And how we would be treated. No sooner did we walk in the door and laid eyes on the first jewelry case, we were instantly greeted. A sincere greeting with eye contact and all!

Now, the wife and I are not "fancy" people. Jeans, t-shirts and old hoodies. And this is No-Shave November! So I wasn't exactly looking nice that day. Usually, dressed and looking like this in a jewelry store, I can stand in front of a watch case for 5 minutes without even a greeting. Well we didn't have to worry about it here. We spent some time walking all the cases and were waited on comfortably. The store was laid out nicely and the selections from the different designers were beautiful.

No pressure sales, but at the same time my wife was able to try on what she liked and was even recommended items that were beautiful and to her liking as we went along. She settled on a beautiful two-tone diamond ring from the Arch Collection by the designer Allison-Kaufman. A beautiful piece at a very good price. The matching necklace is next on her list. The salesman even offered to place the necklace on her "wish list" in their system, which my wife loved.

Above all, the customer service was GREAT! The final price was great and we left happy with no regrets. We finally found a great local jeweler that we can return to and know we will be treated nicely, no mater how we look that day.

Oh man. How to describe this amazing conglomeration of goodness. I was blessed with finding Neugebauer's Fine Jewelry from a tip off (from my future ma' in law) that Rapid City just might be a place where a jeweler resides that would have access to a worldwide grasp of immaculate crystalline sparkle magic to make a South Dakota born lady's dream come true and embody a love and journey so beautiful, it tears my eyes up to even think to mention it. Barbara was as beautiful in style and decadence of ideas to communicate with as the beautiful finished wedding ring and band combo could be, was, and still is. Madeline's re-assurance that, "I did a good job" also had brought me to tears! I haven't yet managed to meet the Mike who designed these beaut's, or the Matt who set them, but looking at all of their pictures on their website tells the story. We used Neugebauers for our wedding bands and the process was so smooth! We had purchased my engagement ring at another shop in another city, so I was a bit nervous about how they would be able to find something matching or how they would treat the piece since it was purchased at another shop. The first day they offered to clean it free of charge and they even sized it for me for a super small fee than what I was expecting. I’ve had some shops not want to mess with it at all or charge a ton to deal with the piece since it was purchased at another shop. We have been able to make a custom ring for my fiancé and they ordered in a ring for me that fulfilled my vision for a wedding band!
