Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Raritan Township

We went to cold stone on 7/24/20 and we were very disappointed with the service. There were two girls working, one with short dark hair and the other with long hair in a ponytail with a braid.

The girl with the ponytail was so badly dressed. She had on grey shorts on that didn't cover her cheeks. It seemed as if she just rolled out of bed and landed there. It was very inappropriate.

The short haired girl was prepping some ice-cream to the left in the other room, but clearly visible. She had her mask pulled down while she was handling the ice-cream. After about 10 minutes she put it back over her nose and mouth. We had to wait because the girl with the ponytail was on the phone with a customer, that why we noticed how long she was without a mask.

The ice-cream is good and I do recommend this place if you don't care about either of those things that...

Well what happened is that clearly the girls despite the effort are new or seem to be. They knew nothing about their own menu. 2. They did not know where the ingredients were. [Not even a measure of hygiene (no gloves, long hair without protection) that for me is the worst part]. I repeated my order approximately 5 times and had to correct them as they did so because they did not yet know what I asked for. I ordered two ice cream at BOWL my wife's overrun and melted made a mess on her hands, clothes and car, mine emptier and although it wasn't empty enough to claim however I note it to make it clear that the quantities are not even measured.

Perhaps the girls are not at fault as there were only 2 of them and clearly untrained, that I don't know, however almost $30 for two...

I was really disappointed with the service today. There was a huge group of people, and while the staff was clearly overwhelmed, one of the workers, a young girl, didn’t seem to care at all. She just stood there on her phone with headphones while her coworker was running around trying to serve everyone. It was clear that the team needed help, and she made no effort to assist. It was frustrating to watch someone else struggle when she could have easily stepped in to help. It made the experience feel unorganized and unprofessional. I really hope management addresses this, because good teamwork is essential in these busy situations. Before I left I asked her coworker what her name was, and they...
