Update: This company should be ashamed at how they treated me and what kind of employees they hire. Had a conversation with the rudest person in their corporate headquarters. This woman was condescending, dismissive and accusing me of being dirty. She said that nothing will be done to fix the problem because my furniture was dirty. I have had this set for just one year. I have my furniture professionally cleaned 2 times a year and I spot clean in between. I told her I donât understand how my furniture being âdirtyâ has anything to do with the problems with the set. She told me she will not honor any warranty because it was dirty. I told her again, her own technician said the issues with the furniture are from how itâs made and why would you sell something when you know after one year, there will be issues. I even offered to have the furniture cleaned and then send the technician out, and she just kept saying it was dirty. She continued to insinuate that my furniture was used a lot and dirty. I have read other reviews from people who they have also done this too, so they donât have to honor the warranty. I didnât want my money back, just a store credit. I advise anyone who has an issue with their furniture, to clean their furniture before the technician so they canât use this as an excuse.
Update. Said someone from corporate would call me right back. Didnât happen
Day two, no call from corporate
I am having the worse experience ever with Bernieâs and Phyls. My family has spent over $20,000 in this store over the years. I purchased a new Livingroom set less than a year ago. Had to have a tech come out twice to fix one of the chairs. Then they also took back another chair because padding in the arms and wrinkles on the inside were awful. I now have the same problem again with the same chair and on top of that, I have puckering on the back of every cushion and arms of the sofa. Tech comes out for the fourth time and says âyou shouldnât buy furniture with back cushions attached and arm rests that go at an angle because that happensâ. If they know this is a problem with this sofa and chair, why do they continue to sell it. This is a manufacturing defect and they should have to take it back, I also should have been informed of this before I purchased this. I will be putting them on blast on every social media I can. This is completely unacceptable. I have purchased an expensive sectional, a complete family room, a mattress and they have always stood by their pieces in the past. I even convinced my son recently to purchase his entire Livingroom set and tables from them, thinking of how well they use to stand by their product. The original couch and chair were not going to be in until mid summer so I switched the chair and couch which was not a big deal. The couch and chair along with the bedroom set was all delivered on the same day. Everything was brought in and set up. Prior to ordering the bedroom set I made mention that we have two twin XL beds the dimensions together are 80 inches long by 76 1/2 inches wide. I had asked specifically will these beds fit into the bed frame and was told no problem. So once the bed was set up it was only 75 inches long yet Specs say 85 inches long and 80 inches wide. The driver argued with me that my beds would fit. I stated it's impossible to fit beds 80 inches long into 75 inch long space. After arguing my point I just called the store. I was asked to take pictures and send to them. I did and it turns out they sent the wrong Rails. They set up delivery for the correct Rails. In the day the new delivery was coming the truck shows up and says they were to take our bedroom set? I said then you have the new set? He said no. I said get your warehouse on the phone. They put the new bedroom set on another truck to send to an address we were moving from that day. I nearly blew a gasket at this point. Now we have had 2 trucks come to our house on the same day and all we needed was the correct Rails. I'm sorry but the warehouse needs to do a better job. All the drivers and help who showed up here clearly stated that this problem happens all the time?? Not a good situation. Finally we got the correct Rails however the specs stated on the bed are incorrect. The actually bed size is 81 inches long by 77 inches wide. A far cry from 85 inches long and 80 inches wide. Our beds fit however just barely. I have no problem with the customer service due to them owning up to the error and rectifying it quickly. I have a serious problem with a total of 3 trucks showing up with one of those trucks going to the wrong address only to be routed to our new address.    Read moreMy wife and I are very frustrated about the office desk we purchased from the Rayham store. Your store delivered us the floor model without asking if we would accept that. Which we would not have! Then to make matters worse, we were charged full price and not given any discount or offered one. The floor model had a specific scratch on it that my wife and I had observed. Very noticeable! In fact, my wife and I had contemplated not buying that specific type of desk because we were worried about it scratching easily and about its workmanship. After further examination of that piece we determined that it was not a flaw in workmanship. Rather it was probably done by someone fooling around on the desk while in the showroom. So yes, it was the same desk delivered to us. I went into the Raynham store the next day to see if somehow the desk was still on the showroom floor. It was not!!! I was so heated I just left the store in disgust. I spent several thousand dollars in your store that day, several. And your store tried to flimflam me.
