A few years ago, we took my father-in-law's gold jewelry in to have appraised for sale. We were given the pieces by my mother in law after his passing. The owner was so offensively rude to us... Read moreMy wife's clasp broke off of her neck chain. I went to albins, I received a quote of $28 to to attach the clasp back onto the chain. I asked if I could wait for it and she told me no because the jeweler was busy, I asked if it could be done today? She says yes but it would be double. So instead of $28 it would be $56. Needless to say I refused to do business with this company. The lady was very nice and polite. It probably would have taken about 5 minutes to do the repair, I did not need any parts for the chain it just needed to be welded back to the clasp. I did not feel as if they wanted my business.
