This review covers my overall experience within the last 12 months, and the last 2 experiences I had in the last 30 days.
Within the last 12 months, whenever I go to this location, about 60% of the time, I get what I ordered and the customer service is as expected-- not fabulous, but middle of the road. I always order spicy tenders, and sometimes you get thick, healthy, juicy tenders, and other times, it's thin and I have to find something else to eat with it to get full. The side items usually are perfect, but a few times, I did get cold fries or uncooked rice in the red beans and rice. These employees are a mixed bag, and most interactions are expected. Wait times at the window average 12 minutes. However, in the last 30 days, my experiences at this location have been rather appalling, to say the least.
At the top of October, the woman operating the window gave me dirty looks, was short with me, and acted like I was inconveniencing her. She made me extremely nervous, and I stuttered trying to tell her what kind of sauce I wanted, which only seemed to irritate her even more. She was African American, roughly 5' 7" tall, collarbone length multi-colored hair, white long nails, and with an entitled attitude to match. Since I don't know her name, I am calling this one "Miss Thang".
So today, 10/27/2018, I was in the mood for spicy tenders again for dinner. I get in the line, and apparently, people have been waiting for so long, that the gold Toyota Camry angrily drove forward after not getting a response at the speaker, and later, no one came to the window to acknowledge him or take his order, so he sped off in a heat of anger. Eventually, a male voice apologizes for my wait, and takes my order. I get to the window, and Miss Thang is there, giving me dirty looks once again and acting like me buying food, which is directly related to her getting a paycheck, is once again, an inconvenience to her. So, she hands me my card back and said "it declined", and before I could respond, the windows slam shut, and she turned her back to me. I was confused, and waited nearly 2 minutes for her to open the windows and address me again. I had a triple digit balance on the debit card and just used it 2 hours ago at McDonald's to get a drink and fries. After confirming that she was saying that MY card declined, I asked her to try it again. She took the card back, rolled her eyes, and ran it again. She then told me that it declined again. I gave her a credit card, and that went through. I honestly don't think she even tried to run my debit card (she was possibly trying to get rid of me) or she used the wrong sequence to authorize it. It's very possible the card processor was temporarily unable to reach my bank, but instead of asking me for another form of payment, she decided to ignore me. Who acts this way? Not someone who cares about being employed. I attempted to call the store and speak to a manager, but she was the one who answered the phone, laughed at me and hung up. I will eventually speak to a manager another day, and will be contacting the corporate office. I think it's best to avoid this location for several months; I and other customers deserve better.
Popeyes, I know it's hard to find good talent, but you are endangering profits and your reputation for your business when you employ people that don't care and treat customers poorly. The person who was recently hired to work the window SHOULD NOT BE working there. She is a cancer to this location, and you lost your business with me. I am hoping she is eventually processed out, and I have a better experience in the future. People like her don't get very far in life, so I don't expect her to be there much longer. Please stop hiring people that have poor customer service skills, don't take their job seriously, and can't practice good quality control with food. Read moreSo where do I begin I've been coming here to this location once or twice a week especially nights I get off work after 9 when William was under management no complaints food always good and fresh I compliment them fast forward I come here last night wtfffff waited in line 30 min for 12 wings stuck in drive thru I love my wings usually so I'm like ok it will be worth it. Get the wings I fly home to eat cuz I am starving I didn't check my order because like I said it's usually perfect 😵💫I get home open it up off top the wings look shriveled up and hard and some were not even a wing I had 2 misfits😫 I bit into them surely enough stale ,cold but hard dry worse no chicken in the chicken! I'm trying not complain cuz I'm hungry but then my husband opens his it's the same so we ate like 2 I'm getting more pissed so I'm like calling them because this is ridiculous it's not even eatable and whoever made this order knows better so im calling ofcourse no answer I called 3 times starting at 10 oclock so now im omw back up here so they can see this food and fix it. We drive back wait in drive thru again get to window explain and give the girl the food she turns and calls this mexican chick over and explains to her they come back to window she states we are under new management so you will have come back in the morning to fix your order I'm like huh. You said your assistant manager you have my recipient and you have the food what do you mean she says well your order at 930 it's 1030 now ok now I'm getting pissed off for one we waited almost 30 in drivethru i just knew our food was fresh and hot I called first 3 times before coming up here as i pull out my phone to show her she has a smirk on her face she says aww that was you calling the manager Camille seen you calling she was walking out the door just left you missed her ..... so now you really playing with me so I say let me get a refund she says can't get a refund or my food remade until the morning I will have come back and talk to Camille im like hell no this some bull can you call her then cuz now im not going nowhere this is alĺ wrong!!! She calls her they in the window steady playing in my face . She's like ok come back in morning right your name number on recipient i say no i need my reciept bc i see right now yall playing games under this new manager we keep going back and fourth they could remade my order or gave me my money back finally she says here camille number call her i set right there and did and by now im super pissed Camille answers but after hearing my frustration she hangs up no caring about me the customer smh im out of words so the sneaky mexican goes and calls the police they show up I explain they agree this some bs they convince me to leave and just come in the morning or make this a civil case im writing this long because it's really sad we were treated this way over 12 wings we wasted our time energy money thank God it wasn't our last but it's the principal and now I'm disgusted with this location bring...
Read morePlaced a mobile order at lunchtime. Went to the drive-thru to pick it up. After sitting for 10+ minutes with the line not advancing, an employee came outside and started telling drivers that their computers went down and that they don't know when they'll be back online. I showed the employee my email receipt and asked if I could either get the order filled or get a refund and she just shrugged and walked away. I was the last vehicle in line so, I backed up, parked and went inside. I guess the computers were back online at this point, because they were taking orders when I walked in. I got in line, behind several customers. When it was my turn, I told the cashier that I had a mobile order. He didn't ask for my order number or name. Instead, he just turned his attention to the customer behind me and asked to take her order, then took several other orders as I waited. 20 minutes later and nobody had even bothered to help me even though I was standing literally at the counter. I could see my order up on a screen that was facing the counter, finally got the attention of a server (not the cashier that had previously ignored me) and told her I had a mobile order, and that I could see it on their screen. She asked me for my name, then filled my order (although she acted irritated that I had asked for her help). From the time I got into the drive-thru until the time I received it, 52 minutes had elapsed. I get 30 minutes for lunch and got docked the extra time it took me to get back, so it really cost me roughly $45 for my meal. I'm begging you, folks. Don't go to this...
