Stop & Shop — Local services in Reading

There is a young lady that is working at the store as a so call supervisor on Sunday 17 th @ 8 pm she is very rude .I went to the store to buy some baby foods , i got the exact brand and for some reason the cashier didn't know how to help me because there was some isssues with either the wic card or the brand product that they give me .The cashier called her for help and told her that she needed help because i am using the wic card and she wasn't able to help me.The supervisor was like : Oh wellll do you want to void it or pay for it? She didn't even say let see what is wrong with the brand that i got. She was very rude to me and i think may be because i was using the wic card or because she is a racist.But they have some nice people there too.I hope that i never meet with this lady in the store anymore.Market basket is the best store for people to go in reading MA .I always meet with these kind of racist people at stop and shop in reading MA and Shaw's in Wakefield.I am not allergic with any race or color but cancer and any kind of diseases on this earth.Do not fight with human been but fight with cancers and diseases because those things do not care about race...

Ran in for something that was left out of my drive up order. The associate at the self checkout seemed less than happy to see me when I showed up with 3 items. No greeting, no acknowledgement, gave me a look like I was disturbing her as she put bags at the registers. When the receipt printer door fell open as I was checking out, she came over and started scolding me in how I put my items on side after I scanned them..."First off, you don't stack them, you need to lay them side by side" I told her that I was good, didn't need any assistance, but she kept going on. I thanked her and left the store.....prior to COVID in March 2020, this used to be my favorite Stop & Shop. Since I started coming back in January 2022, it's just not the same friendly, helpful people. Today was the 3rd time I've been here and will probably be my last. We've shopped here for years but I'm completely done with Stop and Shop. The prices have always been high but the service used to be good. Lately the service has gone down terribly. Going to the deli to get meat that averages $9+ a pound, only to have 1 employee working and not wanting to help you, pointing to the pre cut meat that's been sitting out.

Then moving to check out, there's 1 lane with a person at it, and you're lucky if they have a bagger. If it's busy you might get lucky and get 2 lanes open (and maybe 1 bagger). I'm tired of going to self checkout.

The final straw was they now charge you $0.10 a bag (paper bags) PLUS TAX that have always been included to "be more green," however it's clearly just...
