Would give 0 stars. Rude and unhelpful. Upgraded 2 phones and added 1 new watch a few months ago. I was charged a fee for activation plus an additional setup fee for each device, but none of the 3 were setup by them and all of the boxes were ripped open to "activate" after I requested to activate them myself at home. I was told both fees were mandatory at all Verizon stores, even though I still completed set up at home. The boxes were put into a bag and I was handed the phones themselves so I didn't notice the mistake that was made. After getting home and setting up the phones, I made the realization that we were not given the phones I asked for (iphone 14 and iphone 14 pro max) they were instead older models. I took them back the next day asking for an exchange to get the phones we wanted, which with the promotions at the time would have been cheaper monthly than what I was given. Stephanie told me she didn't think I would want to do that because even though the phones would be cheaper, the monthly service would go up so I would end up paying the same price. WHY WOULDN'T I WANT BETTER PHONES AND A PLAN WITH MORE FEATURES IF IT IS THE SAME PRICE??? And why not at least make sure with me first? I ended up returning the phones but keeping the watch because I did not want to pay the $50 restock when I would be still be getting the same watch. I paid them hundreds for the phones I didn't ask for, I was only refunded about $67 the next day. Looking back on it, seems weird that I was not given any paperwork or shown anything to sign, it was all on her screen and probably not smart of me to just blindly agree and sign whatever she said I was signing, lesson learned. I was also told that receipts could not be printed, I would receive them via email. The email "receipt" for my purchase was an incomplete order confirmation, like a form not filled out all the way, nothing with the totals paid. I received a receipt only for the returns. I ended up going to the Verizon Company store on Lugonia Ave and was provided with 2 iPhone 14 pro max phones, no erroneous charges of activation or setup, and I was free to take the phones home myself and transfer theata from my old devices. Avoid Victra Verizon and go directly through Verizon, they have better customer service, better deals, more accurate quotes, and no mandatory charges for services...
Read moreBe very careful doing business with this company.
We recently switched from T-Mobile, thinking Verizon would be better (they're not, MUCH worse in fact) and decided to upgrade our devices. These people had the nerve to flat out lie about us qualifying for additional devices at "no extra cost" (their exact words).
We asked MANY times whether they were truly free and whether there would be ANY charges of any kind and they repeatedly said no and assured us they are free. And we also explicitly stated several times that we did not even care about getting the additional devices because realistically we'd only occasionally use them with Wi-Fi only.
Then our next bill showed up and we see charges of $20 per device ($20 per table x3 tables or $60 total). We politely call and inquire about the charges and Verizon plays it off saying they understand and that they would ensure they remove the devices from the plan to remove the $60 in monthly charges. To no one's surprise, they didn't.
So, we call AGAIN and now the third rep claims both of the prior agents lied and stated that we should in fact be paying for the "free tablets", $10/each for three years!!! Which is hilarious considering one of the tablets retails for $120!!! So they intend to charge us $360 for a tablet that is literally sold at retailers for nearly 67% less. Can you say scam?
A few days later we speak to Verizon again and the rep clearly acknowledged that we were given the "free devices" under false pretenses and stated that we can just ship them back for a refund and so we did. Well, it turns out they lied about that too.
So, we called AGAIN and this time we get some guy with a Netherlands-like accent allegedly named "James" who after an hour on the phone suggested that we should "just pay it" and said that they "won't do it again". In other words, accept the fraud and let them steal our money to the tune of about $400.
Virtually all of the reps we've engaged with thus far have straight up shown they have no integrity and blatantly committed or endorsed the fraud and took no action to help us out which tells me it's likely a reflection of the company's culture. And we don't do business with companies like that and we'll make sure we spread the word until a solution is reach. Every platform, every post, every location, etc. Y'all have far more to...
Read moreIf I could give a negative rating I would, worst Customer service I have ever experienced with any company. They were nice and helpful while purchasing the product and services, but try and return or cancel services and they do everything they can to keep from dealing with the customer. excuses like managers not in or manager is in a meeting, can you come back and then he still isn't in. I finally had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges, still waiting for a 200.00 refund. update 7\18\2016 and they did finally take the devices off my account, but no refunds for the merchandise or devices, very disappointing.... 7/22/2016 - Jason contacted me and a refund was issued, didn't like the issues between him and his employees, but Jason did finally resolve some of the issues. 9/20/2016 - I give them a -5 stars, its been 2 months and they are still billing me for items I turned in in beginning of July, The absolute worst company I have ever done business with. I am going to pay the bill, because money isn't the issue. I will never do business with this company ever again. 6/9/2017 -6/9/2017 - I had to call a collection agency for past due notice of $200.00 for cancelling a jet pack I received from Verizon but never used. I turned it in the device without ever using it, but they insisted that I still needed to pay a cancellation fee of $200.00. Not once did Verizon or A Wireless ever bothered to contact me letting me know of this bill. Not until it hit my credit report did I even know I had a bill, so I called the collection agency and paid it. I asked for a copy of the bill and they said they didn’t have a copy of it. I am so appalled and disappointed in the manner in which A Wireless does business. I just want everyone to know the kind of business this is, you can form your own opinion, I am just providing the facts so at least you know what you can expect if you choose to do business with them. I plan on letting my cousin, The Retail Sales Director at Verizon Wireless, just what type of business is being conducted at A Wireless. Looking forward to my family reunion in...
