I go here pretty much every week to get various things and have never once been suspicious or not payed for my things, i walked in here to get hair dye with my friend and the lady with a black ponytail and glasses decided to call the entire store security on me because she claims shed ānever seen me go through the aisleā which makes no sense hence the fact i was there buying groceries yesterday, and the fact ive never seen her in my life. Then she follows me down the aisle watching me and having another employee watch at the entrance all because of me looking alternative and being in my pajamas so she wanted to assume i was homeless and assuming i was going to steal from a store i go to almost weekly. I put down the hairdye and just left because i dont enjoy Being followed from simply walking into a store ive always paid for my things at. then she frantically follows me aisle to aisle and asks me where i put the hair dye assuming i stole it then i told her its ridiculous to have the whole store on me making sure i dont take 10$ hair dye just because i walked in with pajamas on. Itās ridiculous and i felt disrespected to be watched when iām simply buying hair dye for myself. this store and its employees are judgmental and absurd when ive clearly paid for all my items as long as ive been coming here and she claims she has never seen me pay when she can literally pull up footage of me buying food yesterday morning. I feel it was inappropriate to have a male following me around the store because they love to judge off looks when that specific lady has never seen me in that store before. They act like they donāt have homeless people sitting outside their dirty store and they want to judge me and watch my car leave the store acting like i come here to steal everyday. Ridiculous and immature to follow me around and act like she wasnāt obviously watching me. Sad to say i will not be coming here again and neither should you because they cant treat customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shop here everyday, great store, friendly associates , as well as leadership, However today I was humilated , discriminated ,embarrassed all by one manager by the name of Amy, As soon as I walked in I heard over the intercom security scan all cameras, this didn't seem out of the ordinary, I start to do my shopping and out of nowhere pops out this manager Amy and says to me , " finding everything ok? Normally I perceive this is as helpful , as well as friendly , today was a different vibe, I shook it off , and continued to the check out, and guess who was walking that way to open a register, yes none other then Amy.. so I waited behind one customer in Amy's line, when it was my turn I asked her her name, then asked to speak to her manager. I stepped aside to wait, an older lady is in the line and her and Amy begin to whisper. At this point I'm feeling humilated , as well as embarrassed, cause by this point customers are aware something is going down, I finally see Tasso the manger , and I begin to explain my experience with this manager ,
Tasso was apologetic and assured me he will speak with her How rude and unprofessional of Amy, I'm asking that a higher up such as the " Regional" manager retrain this associate Particularly in interacting with a diverse community. This type of behavior from anybody regardless of there title is unacceptable and should not be tolerated, And for this I rate this stater Bros. Location here in Redlands, poorly For not recognizing this type of behavior, And hopefully this will present opportunity to shape future leaders in a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI grew up shopping at Stater Bros, so it was only right for me to go into this one when I first moved to Redlands. My Nephew and I went to buy a few things, I got a pork roast and asked the butcher if he could cut some of the fat off. At first he was reluctant and told me how the fat is good seasoning, and of course I know this already but I needed it to fit in a small crockpot. After consulting with another butcher he finally did it, as we continued shopping, we were followed and watched around the store by a few clerks including one of the butchers. We were offered a cart when we only had a few items and continued to be followed. We did not take the cart because we didnāt need it. After a while it came to me that they thought we were going to steal some food. It was very uncomfortable because Iād never been followed in a grocery store before and Iām a lot of things, but thief is not one of them. I get times are hard, next time maybe use the cameras and not follow people because the color of their skin is different than yours and cutting fat off of meat is what I thought was a butchers job. This is a very late review, because I want to make burgers on the grill and I thought of going there to have the butcher to grind up some beef for me but Iām not taking the risk of being followed around again so Iāll go somewhere else, although this location is...
