I was so disappointed with the experience I had here this afternoon. I went in to have an heirloom ring evaluated for prong repair and resizing. The woman who helped me repeatedly asked me if I had purchased the ring from Fred Meyer or "online". It's nearly 80 years old, the old European cut diamonds are chipped from decades of use, and the setting is stamped with the hallmark of a long lost jeweler. No, I did not purchase it from Fred Meyer, nor did anyone else, and I was puzzled and confused by a salesperson who was unable to identify a vintage ring. And regardless of where it came from--and I'm not sure why that matters, except to point out I hadn't purchased it from them--the ring also has intense sentimental value to me, as it is not only an heirloom, but also my wedding ring. A very strange customer service tactic. I was under the impression from their website this business was willing to help customers with jewelry that is antique as well as new, and that they cared about everyone and all manner of sentimental jewelry, but I was made to feel small, unimportant and embarrassed. Read moreCame in to have a necklace from my Grandfather repaired. The medallion, bail, and clasp were all getting thin after the last 30+ years of being worn.
Sean greeted me when I came in, he was very professional and kind. Weighed it, measured it, documented the necessary repairs and gave me a copy of the receipt with all the information.
They were able to repair the medallion and bail, and they removed the clasp and put in a solid link (I am able to put it on over my head) so this was nice because now I don’t have to worry about the clasp ending up halfway down my neck and constantly repositioning it.
Picked it up today and it is absolutely beautiful. They did an amazing job with the repair and it is like brand new.
I would recommend Satterlee to anyone looking for specialty...
Read moreI inherited a couple of pieces of jewelry from my mom after she passed away 10 years ago. I've been wanting to have them updated for MY style. I finally took the leap and I am BEYOND happy with the results! 💞 Thank you SO MUCH to Sean Satterlee for his wonderful insight in assisting me with this project so close to my heart.
He combined a necklace my mom received from her parents on her 16th birthday and pieces of her wedding ring into a new setting, as well as resetting the stones from her "mother's ring" which she originally bought from Sean's dad at Satterlee's in Madras many years ago into a new setting.
If you want custom or re-imagined jewelry, I highly recommend Sean and his team!...
