We came here after leaving Mo's. The atmosphere there was very rude and put upon. That coupled with their display of political preferences put a sour taste in my mouth. I like my eggs without fascism. Anyway, a quick Google search showed us 5 below was minutes away and we decided to give it a shot. I was immediately blown away by the customer service. It is obvious every one here works as a team. From servers to cooks to bussers. We were welcome as soon as we stepped inside. Given that we were hungry i was stoked that this restaurant actually likes it's patrons. I think our servers name was Anna and she was incredibly on top of it. I swear I just had think of something and next thing I know she was right there. Prices were very reasonable for portion sizes. I got the classic eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and fruit. My oldest got the 2 sweet cream pancakes and my youngest got the French toast kids meal. My eggs benny was perfect. The hollandaise buttery and lemony, just right. My 17 year old wolfed down those sweet cream pancakes in between sounds of "mmmm" and "ohmygosh". The kids French toast looked and smelled amazing and was the perfect portion size for my 7 year old. He also loved it. Delicious coffee and I cant say enough how great the food and customer service. We will definitely be back when we come back to...
Read moreOur first visit to the Country Nook was wonderful. My husband had steak salad and I had chicken salad. Both salads were very good. The server was professional and friendly. We were excited to find a restaurant that we really liked. Two nights later we went back. The service was extremely slow. Only one booth in the restaurant was occupied . We waited for several minutes to be seated. Then we waited a while for menus and water. We ordered 2 glasses of Chardonnay. It took several minutes for the server to come back and tell us that there was only one glass of chardonnay left. We waited several minutes for the wine to arrive. We waited several more minutes for the server to come back and take our order. Our steaks arrived a while later. The food on the plates was crowded together and the roll (which had been nuked too long) piled on top of the dinner. There was no butter on the baked potato or butter for the roll. After asking we were brought a small container of butter for both rolls and the potato. The entrée came with a mixture of vegetables, one of which we could not identify and could not cut with a knife or bite through. When we were halfway through our meal the salads and steak knives arrived. The only good part of the meal was that the steaks were good. So...
Read moreHave been coming here for years and it’s always been one of my favorite restaurants. Probably favorite breakfast stop. But today was absolutely terrible service. They were fairly busy when we got there so I understand if the service would be a little slow, although customers cleared out rather quickly after we arrived. Asked three times for more coffee, and three times the waitress said I’ll be right back, but didn’t come back so we had to ask over again. Then the Pancakes and French toast arrived without her bringing any syrup or butter. I didn’t notice that because I was not having pancakes, but my grandson ate most of his French toast before he said anything about needing syrup. We could not get the waitresses attention for that, and for some of the items that we ordered that she didn’t bring. Also, one of the other waitresses came to our table, and made fun of our waitress in a snarky kind of way. The food was very good, and they did try to make up for the poor service by taking one meal off of the bill and giving us a couple of cinnamon rolls. Would much rather have had a relaxing breakfast with good...
