I stopped by because of a friend's recommendation. In spite of looking small from the outside, I opened the door and saw three floors of furniture. I was approached by Ron who coincidentally was the salesperson recommended by my friend. He gave me some general guidance and then left me to wander as I wished. It didn't take long - I found exactly what I wanted. Ron joined me to explain the piece, help with measurements and provide me the price. When I mentioned my disappointment at waiting months, he made a call and came back to tell me I could have the floor model. He pulled it out so I could inspect it and then, upon my request, explained the 5-year warranty option. Ron made this a really great shopping experience for me. I highly recommend F&MGC!
UPDATE 12/24/24 - A few years have passed. I was looking for outdoor furniture Veterans Day weekend. After stopping at a few other places, I went back to F&MGC on my way to a dinner reservation. I looked outside; what I saw was okay but not quite right. I walked inside and met Jen who directed me to more. Just like the last visit several years ago, I found almost exactly what I wanted. Jen did a little research and completed my vision. The whole transaction took less than 30 minutes and I I still had 10 minutes to make my reservation. Kudos to Jen! The furniture arrived about 10 days ago. The weather hasn't been the best for being outside, but one morning was warm and bright and I was able to enjoy my coffee sitting in one of my new chairs. I'm not sure when I will be in the market for furniture again but I'll certainly be back to F&MGC. And I recommend everyone else consider visiting them if you need...
Read moreSales part was great but customer service after purchase not so much. Estimated delivery was 6-8 weeks I am now going on week 11-1/2 with no phone calls from any sales person. Called to check on it at week 9 and said it would be in by April 23 and would call. Still no call. Week 11 I called again said it was in but had to locate which warehouse for 2 of the pieces. Said they would call back. I had my pick up persons available so I wouldn’t have to pay for delivery, but of course since it’s been about 4 weeks overdue I now have to have it delivered and pay $200 for delivery that should be costing me nothing. It’s a shame because the furniture they sell is really good and the salespersons are great too. They just don’t deliver on their customer service. Very disappointing. Maybe free delivery of this furniture would help and I won’t have to pay an additional $200 for something out of my control.
PROBLEM CORRECTED I do want to let everyone know that after Furniture and More read my review they quickly corrected the problem with prompt and courteous response back to me. The manager researched the matter, contacted me directly 2 days later and rectified the problem. Furniture was delivered the following week and there was no charge to me for the delivery fee due to the situation. Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVCE. This is the tale of how I bought a piece of furniture over a month ago and how it was delivered to me damaged and how I am STILL waiting for the replacement. Walked into this store and was greeted awkwardly by Anthony who offered me the BARE MINIMUM customer service and didn't even seem to care that we were there. Very little people skills. Ended up purchasing a couple of pieces from him though. The end table I bought was delivered to me with a significantly damaged back. I called to schedule a time to have the piece replaced and was told they would have to come inspect it first. The first appointment available was two weeks later which was ultimately canceled because the lady scheduled it for a time of day that I specially told her I would not be home. The poor guy was banging on my door when I wasn't even home. She never called back to reschedule so I made the follow up call and had to wait yet another two weeks. The guy came to my house empty handed took a picture of the damage and left. I assume I'll be waiting a long while before my $260+ side table is finally here. WOW. Once they get your money, do they even care about what happens next? Honestly seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me and I realize this is a long rant.
