4/5 stars only because of one minor issue in the experience. Food was great, and that is coming from someone who doesn't really try anything super different & my only experience with ramen is the kind you get from the store for less than $1. Me and my boyfriend arrived around 5:15pm on Saturday night. We originally planned for TGIFridays but decided for something different. Which I'm glad we did. I ordered the Shio Ramen (chicken) and my boyfriend got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu which had pork. There's an assortment of things in the bowl, it's not just noodles. It looks... interesting. I suggest just going for it!

Okay, and for the missing one star: when we walked in all the people working were standing around and I felt watched as we were seated. Speaking of seats, we sat at a booth which was just hard wood, no cushion of any sort. I was hunched over the whole time because the back of the seat was far back. The decor/style of the place was cool otherwise. The biggest thing was... Besides us there was, I believe, just one other table. I'm not sure if it gets busier later in the evening or at all, but there were about 10 people working that I saw. 2 waiters, a hostess, and what looked to be a bunch of cooks/chefs whatever you may call them (sorry for my lack of knowledge on the preferred terms). In my opinion, there were way too many employees working at this time. They were mostly standing around, talking. & Honestly every time we looked up, we were being stared at. So while the food was good, we felt like we were being closely watched the entire time we were there and it made is pretty uncomfortable. Of course, I was able to laugh it off, but that is the big reason I didn't give a perfect rating. I want to relax when I go out to eat, but I didn't feel like I could because I felt like I was being observed, stared at and watched closely. This wasn't just a feeling or paranoia. We both noticed it. One of the cooks was even peeping through the kitchen door's small little window at me for a good few minutes. I just think there were way too many people working at the time with nothing to do. Otherwise, the whole...

The main point of my review is in regards to 2 different experiences I had at this restaurant. The first time, I ordered the vegetable gyoza. I am a vegetarian. They gave me the pork gyoza, and when I tried it and thought it tasted like pork, I told the server. He told me with much conviction that he was 100% sure that it was vegetable gyoza. I wasn't so sure, but I ended up just giving the dish to another omnivore person eating dinner with me. The server made me doubt what I was tasting. But the insides of the gyoza was an entirely beige color, with no distinguishable vegetables. It was a bad experience, but this was like 2 months ago at this point, and I wasn't disturbed to the point where I would write a review. Very recently, however, I returned with a friend. The friend this time also ordered the vegetable gyoza. To my surprise, the insides were entirely green, with distinguishable vegetables. This confirmed my belief that I was indeed served pork dumplings last time. This really disturbed me, as instead of just simply remaking the dish for me, the server felt the need to just convince me what I was eating was something entirely different. This is very disrespectful to a customer with certain dietary restrictions.

I also had the matcha boba tea from them last year, and I can whole heartedly say that it was the worst boba tea I'd ever had. I have had, and made, boba tea many many times, and I am a regular enjoyer of matcha tea/lattes. The liquid I received was chalky and extremely bitter, and afterwards coated my mouth with an almost mechanical taste. The tapioca pearls were unfortunately hard and crunchy (😭😭😭). Any squishiness they had was entirely superficial, and as soon as you began to chew on it, it offered a ton of resistance. It seems the tapioca pearls were not cooked right. I'd like to think it was just a one-off bad experience, but honestly it was so bad that I haven't been able to force myself to try it again, as it was also very expensive. The prices in general are pretty expensive for what you...

Food was disgusting and the staff like to laugh and insult you. Never coming here again. EDIT AFTER GETTING THE OWNERS REPLY: It is not a lie. I was leaving with my family and the gentleman who referred to himself as a chef plus a young lady that was sitting at the hostess station. As I pulled the door open my husband said "hey babe you have to push the door" The "Chef" gentleman and the young lady laughed at me and the gentleman said "at least someone knows how to read." My husband went back into the restaurant seeing how the gentleman's comment has upset me as I was crying from embarrassment and my husband went in asking for the gentleman to apologize and he refused because he thought it was funny. My husband replied that we would no longer be doing business here and that we will make people aware about how the staff mistreated me. The gentleman shrugged as if he did not care and laughed. I'm not spreading lies. This actually happened. We were there a lil after 7pm. Our table was infront of the kitchen. I'm the only female at the table and I was wearing a purple tank top with my 3 year old to my right. Watch the camera as we leave and then my husband walking back in. How dare you now be disrespectful and call me a liar! I will be sharing this and reporting this. A SIMPLE APOLOGY WOULD OF SUFFICED BUT NOW TWO PEOPLE INSULT ME TODAY!!!

ADDING TO THE REPLY: YOUR COMMENT SAYING "ATLEAST SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO READ WITH YOUR LAUGHTER IS THE INSULT! IMPLYING I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO READ!! SO MY STATEMENT IS IN FACT TRUE! AND YOUR FIRST REPLY THAT YOU DELETED WHICH I HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF EVERYTHING. YOUR FIRST REPLY WAS JUST STATING IM A LIAR INSTEAD OF JUST REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION LIKE YOUR SECOND REPLY. YOUR FIRST REPLY WAS ALSO A INSULT! SO YES, YOU LIKE TO INSULT YOUR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE PEOPLE IN THE WORKS PROMOTING THIS AWARENESS SINCE YOU DECIDED TO BE UNPROFESSIONAL THE...

Upon walking into Miyagi's we were instantly struck by the atmosphere. There is a bar (for drinking) as well as a literal ramen bar to sit at, and tables. Upon entering we felt welcomed and the host (I believe he may have been the owner) was extremely friendly! My wife and I know a little Japanese so while we were trying to decipher a couple of the signs, he was kind enough to tell us the story about how he got the unique striped sign (which says Big Sale) on it for those wondering :P We ordered and the food was out quickly. The child reported the Japanese Curry was good and both the wife and I's Ramen was great! I forget what she had but I had the Miso Ramen. You could tell the broth was made proper and was full of flavor along with the toppings and real ajitama. The food was so good we visited again on our trip to try additional items on the menu. My second visit I got the Katsudon (they offer pork or chicken). The katsudon was perfectly fried with a great sauce, white rice that had the perfect consistency and pickled cabbage. It blended really well. The wife enjoyed her fried sweet potato (forget what they are called) and the kid repeated the Japanese Curry order. The soda was a little on the lightly carbonated side (maybe due to being a bar..not sure but not any type of deal breakers). The price was fair and should we find ourselves in Lewes again, we are 100% going to visit again! Arigatou Miyagi! The food was great!

Stopped in on our way back from Ocean City and this was such a hidden gem. I was craving ramen and thankfully we managed to catch this place right before closing. It's a well decorated restaurant with a ton of anime paraphernalia around. It was nice and clean, with plenty of seating. Service was quick. They gave us enough time to peruse the menu and got us started with water/drinks. The food was the main attraction though. We ordered vegan gimbap and shrimp shumai to start. Both delicious and hot straight from the kitchen. Our entrees were the Seafood Hot Pot Noodle Special and the Zaru Soba. I looove Zaru Soba and the dipping broth was both light and flavorful. But the star for me was the Seafood Hot Pot. It was so spicy and mouth-numbing with a ton of peppercorn in the soup. I was addicted to drinking the soup. I'm coming back just for that dish. And the ube ice cream was good too. I love ube and this was decently sweet and it kind of had a grainy texture, almost like it was homemade. Amazing little gem in Rehoboth Beach. Can't wait to make another trip here.

A very pleasant surprise! Stopped in for a quick meal before getting back on the road. I was concerned when I arrived, I was the only customer there and I was thinking did I make a mistake? But I realized, I was their first because they just opened. By the time I left, they’ve had 6 tables or so and that’s just within the first hour. (I made a good choice! 🙂) I haven’t come across many good quality ramen places. This place will be one of the places I’ll make sure to stop by every time I pass through. The staff was very friendly, the place was very clean, and the food was awesome!! Grace, my server, walked me through the entire menu and explained how to eat my delicious bowl of Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen. Not only was it good to eat but it was pretty to see. Besides the ramen, the Korean chicken wings were tasty! The scallion salad was surprisingly refreshing. The marinade had a hint of sesame oil and seeds that made it so good, I had to finish it all. Next time, I’ll have to try the Bulgogi or the Thai Green Curry!
