DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ANIMAL NEGLECT! This place sells hermit crabs which are actually some of the hardest beginner pets that need a ton of more care than this place provides and educates. First of all the way they keep the crabs is absolutely disgusting, in exposed containers with no humidity or substrate! Hermit crabs have modified gills that require very humid air(a tank with a lid is needed which this place didn’t have) and deep substrate. Then, the containers they sold to keep the crabs in were way too small for even one crab and didn’t have enough sand for the crab to even bury themselves under, maybe 1/2 of an inch at most in the containers, it is required to have at least 4 inches of substrate for smaller crabs. Then don’t even get me started on the painted shells, they are very toxic for the crabs! Then while I was there I watched a worker dump a bucket full of crabs into the one tank, causing stress and harm to the crabs. Please listen to this review and don’t buy hermit crabs from here or any other place at the beach, they don’t take car of the crabs they sell and set the buyer up for failure by not properly educating and selling proper enclosures for the crabs. Do your research on how to take care of crabs if you do want to keep some and don’t buy them from a place like this! Below I have posted pictures of what a proper enclosure should look like, I’m on my 2nd year of keeping healthy crabs and look for them to live at least...

Came here while I was on vacation, they have a great selection of natural shells! However I only have it a 2 star because the people who run the place know absolutely nothing about how to successfully take care of hermit crabs. I've done my own research and have found many of the things they told me to be false. They didn't tell me that they need to burrow in their substrate (needs to be atleast 4-5 inches) in order to molt. Also sponges are actually bad for hermits because they suck up the water and mold grows on them easily but they make them sound like the holy grail, and they sold small plastic containers and hermit "kits" and told me they'd love that when it's too small for them. They said they don't need salt water either(which they do to soak in). The workers were very hard to understand and seemed unknowledgable about the hermits when they were supposed to be "experts". Long story short, the two hermit crabs I bought from there died within 2-3 weeks. They never ate anything that I fed them either so that might be an issue among all their crabs. Just do your own research before you buy and don't listen to the false info they give you. Although I will say that the hermit crab white powder food they gave me my current hermit crabs...

Buy gift cards here with CAUTION! Restrictions are placed on cards after the purchase. I had a gift card for their stores that was purchased at their stores. At the time of purchase the cards were good for any items at any of their locations. A short time later they annouced the closure of one of their locations with all items going on sale. I went to that location, selected items, and was denied use of the gift card at the register. I was told if I wanted to use the gift card then I needed to go to their other store where items are not on sale. NO WHERE did it say that gift cards could not be used for sale items at the downtown location. The staff acknowledged this was not posted anywhere when I asked where it said I could not use a gift card. When questioned on their Facebook page, they first responded that the giftcard had to be used on Rt 1 not for the 1/2 price sale. Then when I responded back, they used the excuse that they can't take it because they had their machine removed. Information on the back of the card mentions no restriction of use for sale items. They basically hold your money hostage and force you to use it for higher...

Always our last stop before heading home. Soooo much stuff! Toys, tons of really cute home decor, signs, junk jewelry (but its cute!) Christmas ornaments, hermit crabs, If you are looking for souvenirs this place is a must! I see comments about it being expensive but I disagree. I found some of the same items we purchased elsewhere for a dollar or two less here. I also love the location in Fenwick. We stopped on our way home today and my son wanted a specific ceramic turtle. He could not find it (he swore he had seen it a few minutes before.) There were two young men working and both of them (at separate times) went somewhere and pulled out a box and they began unwrapping them one by one looking for a blue turtle for my kid. They really went above and beyond! They are outstanding employees! Their fudge is good and less expensive than other places but I don’t like that it is not covered so we skipped it this year.... fly’s and Covid. Wish it was in a case because it is good! Pics of some of the kids souvenirs all for under $6 each

This store is packed full of all kinds of items. There is something in here for everyone! Prices were decent - there were some items on sale. There is a mini golf attached, which is closed during the winter months. This shop also serves fudge. The employee was nice - but I did not appreciate being followed while shopping. I get it, but it’s so obvious when you are being followed. We didn’t have any bags with us and leaves you feeling judged as a shoplifter. There are also several signs all over the shop stating you are on camera - which is weird.
