Thank you Jet City for making this trip possible with your great service. My 08’ Screaming Eagle Ultra traveled the Alaska Hwy perfectly.

Return Ride: From the Last Frontier to the Emerald City

The morning light in Anchorage shimmered off the Chugach Mountains as we packed the bikes for the long ride home. The air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of spruce and sea salt. Heading east along the Glenn Highway, the mountains gave way to sweeping valleys and glacier-fed rivers. Every curve offered a postcard view — Matanuska Glacier glinting in the distance, bald eagles circling above.

By the time we rolled into Tok, dusted in road grime, the sun hovered low but stubbornly refused to set — that endless Alaskan twilight. Tomorrow would bring the true wild — gravel, clay, and the legendary Top of the World Highway.

Top of the World Highway – Riding the Sky

From Tok, the road wound north toward Chicken, Alaska — a quirky outpost of cabins, café chatter, and gold-rush relics. Beyond Chicken, pavement gave way to gravel and clay, and the Top of the World Highway began in earnest.

The name didn’t lie. The route felt like riding along the spine of the Earth, high above endless valleys brushed in gold and green tundra. The road demanded full attention — loose gravel, rain-slicked clay, and blind corners with thousand-foot drops.

Crossing into Canada, the border post seemed surreal — soon we’d arrive in Dawson City, shimmering in the Yukon twilight.

We spent a night and a day in Dawson City, where time bends and the ghosts of miners still linger in the clapboard buildings and wooden sidewalks.

We strolled the streets that once swarmed with prospectors, even raised a glass at the Sourdough Saloon — to adventure, to grit, to the open road.

From Dawson, you turned east onto the Campbell Highway, a less-traveled route through true wilderness. The gravel stretched on forever — rough, remote, and breathtaking. Caribou tracks crisscrossed the road. The horizon never ended.

We rested along a riverbank near Ross River, then continued toward Watson Lake, where the famous Signpost Forest marked a milestone of every traveler who’d made it that far.

Crossing into British Columbia, the ride softened into pine forests and rolling hills.

By Dawson Creek, the official start (or end) of the Alaska Highway, we paused for a photo with the milepost marker. It felt like a rite of passage — a symbol of everything we’d endured, and everything still ahead.

Southbound now, the miles melted beneath our tires. The vast Canadian plains gave way to the rugged peaks of Montana. Entering Glacier National Park, we traced the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road, a ribbon of asphalt clinging to cliffs and overlooking turquoise lakes and alpine meadows.

It was one of those rides that remind you why we ride — pure awe, pure presence.

Leaving Glacier behind, we followed the winding highways westward through Montana and Idaho, the forests thickening as we neared the Pacific...

Brought my 2014 Ultra Limited here for a damage estimate because according to James the service manager when looking at my pictures the “forks were definitely bent”. I brought the bike down here and paid $371 for an estimate (2 hours labor) to hand off to my insurance company and what a got received was 2 days of nonsense. When I called Chili the first evening to see if they were done (after having my bike for a week, brought it in early incase there was a open spot) he told me the tech wrote everything up and it was in parts dept for pricing. I asked if the bike was going to be put back together so I could bring it home and was informed nothing on bike was taken apart for estimate. He ended the call I quote “ ok Mr. Uh uh… uh… wait did you just hear that?” Yeah it’s Mr Cook. The next day at noon Chili called and asked me what happened in the accident and I told him I smacked the back end of a car and the bike never went down. I asked if the estimate was done and he said the tech was still going over the bike and writing the estimate… (wait I thought it was already done. 🤔) and that he needed to take some parts apart to check the steering lock tabs on the frame. I said “ok just leave what ever parts off because no sense of putting back on parts I’m just going to remove.” He responded with “well he’s actually not taking anything off the bike but just looking” 🙄 Got another call that night from Chili and the estimate was in parts again and should be done in the morning at noon because we open at 11 am. I asked “ you don’t open until 11?” “No we open at 10 but I wanted the tech to have time to go over the estimate since you are fixing it yourself”

So finally the third day comes and I go down to get my bike and they put exhaust replacement on the estimate because of a rusted over scratched lower shield that Chili would not listen to me wasn’t accident related and talked over me and also Highway pegs which were not part of the accident. I asked about the front fender and Chili argued with me that Harley has discontinued these fenders until he finally listened to me that it’s a 2014 and it still available just in primer. Was also told that they would call their 2 paint shops for paint estimates on my fender which also didn’t happen. Last I hate when staff asks to make sure you give them 10 star ratings on reviews on which Chili did. I rate on the service I received and yes this might be a long review but State Farm wrote a better estimate of the bike than the actual Harley dealership that I paid a lot of money to do did and I’m incredibly unsatisfied. Not sure how the mechanics are but to think I would have this kind of incompetency work on my bike is a joke. I wouldn’t even buy a few T-shirts from here because I won’t advertise this dealership.

Oh yeah, I took the bike apart when I got it home and the upper fork tubes are perfect after I already...

Where to even begin.. I went in during their Ready to Ride event, and asked for a specific sales person that I was recommended. The woman I spoke to said that the person I was looking for was busy, and then proceeded to throw every typical salesman tactic at me possible, instead of letting me wait for the person I had requested. She wanted to run my credit before I would be even given any out the door numbers on a bike, despite me making it clear I just wanted to see numbers first. Once I finally got my point across that no, I do not want my credit ran before seeing what I would be paying, I was then quoted 2025 MSRP for a old stock 24MY bike. Once I saw those numbers, I could see how I would be treated at this dealership. After stating I will not be paying that price, the sales woman was visibly annoyed with me by this point.

After walking out, looking around at bikes on the curb, and wandering back in (just hoping to finally look at bikes without being bothered,) the sales woman immediately came back up to me asking if I was reconsidering. Finally the finance employee pulled me aside and started talking real world numbers with me instead of overinflated MSRP on old stock.

Ultimately a deal could not be made, as I knew of a specific bike at another dealership for a better price that Jet could not match. I was open about that fact, and wanted to give Jet a chance to earn my business since so many people I knew had purchased from them in the past.

Ever since my visit, I have received emails, text messages, and phone calls every other day from Jet City. I understand following up with customers, I do not understand pestering customers constantly just to see if they are still interested in buying. Once I finally answered a call, admittedly I was not very nice, but the same sales woman I had dealt with in person was once again rude to me over the phone. I am in the same powersports industry, and I have never once spoken to or treated a customer like I experienced through Jet City.

The only saving grace for Jet is the original sales person I was recommended to talk to. Ian was a great person to talk to, I was finally able to talk to him at the end of my entire experience. Zero pressure, easy to talk to, willing to talk about everything and answer every question that I had. If I had worked solely with him, I may think higher of the dealership as a whole.

If you are going to buy from Jet City, talk to Ian first. He will get you situated in a comfortable, non...

Back to 5 star (: After a great call from Cali she deliver what this place is about. Great customer service, thank you for making this concern a priority From 5 to 1 star Update! Appeal customer services sucks. Customer service is what got me to buy a bike. Don't go here unless you got a good deal on one. If I would have know customer service and management were poor then I would have got to another dealership. When you walk into a dealership it can be overwhelming experience. I just planned on getting christmas gifts on Christmas eve and that's it. As I was walking out I was looking at all the beautiful bikes. Noelle greeted us and asked us the normal questions and she informed us they were 6 bikes away to reach their goal. They had deals going but unfortunately I wasn't planning on buying a bike. Until I got home and sent a credit application later on that day. If it wasn't for Noelle hustling and going over the top I wouldn't have been convinced to buy a bike. I believe the title fit specialist can't coexist without the name Noelle in front of it. Tim is an example of having excellent customer service and great management skills. The sales team is a reflection of the sales manager and thats why you can't go wrong picking the bike of your dreams. To put the homemade icing on the top, Bradley is a wonderful and very knowledgeable person. He knows if he could give everyone everything he will. Bradley was able to put the final touches to the cupcake. The cherry on the top was how everyone was excited for you. The song of your choosing, clapping, smiles, pictures and the bell makes the whole experience like a disney movie. And yes the food upstairs is amazing go try it out. Thank you to the team at Jet City Noelle, Tim and Bradley you guys rock see you soon!
