So I was craving Thai food, and decided to look online for a good Thai place to eat at. I found many reviews for many places. I was going with family who said they weren't big on Thai food. I told them they should go with me and try some actual good Thai food. So I found this place on Yelp and online that said it was very very good and delicious. So we drove here to Ma la kor to see if it was really good food.
First off, when you walk inside it looks very calm, nice, and clean. The hostess satis down immediately and asked us for our drinks of choice. It was very cozy and very eclectic. The seating and the decorations are very beautiful and very simple, yet sophisticated. The waitresses and waiters we're very tidy, well dressed, and clean.
They had smiles on their face and we're very polite. I asked the lady what she recommended for food that was authentic ,yet delicious. And she told me what her favorite dishes were. She then asked me how spicy I would like it from 1 to 5. I ordered the cashew chicken, with level 4 spicy. The portion was nice size and super delicious! We also got the curried chicken with pasta; 3 star spicy. It was huge and oh soo good. We also got their crab rangoon . Definitely delicious!!
The Khao Soi- was a noodle curry dish with your choice of meat(chicken, beef, and shrimp)or tofu, or vegetarian ; that had an immense amount of flavor. The noodles were cooked just right. The curry wasn't too spicy. We got beef with this. The beef was cooked so well and married (combined) so well with the curry and noodles ;it was a flavorgasm in your mouth! The tenderness of the beef with the tenderness of the noodles, and then the flavor of the curry with the spice in it; made the entire dish come together so perfectly.
The Cashew Chicken was tender and just the right amount of spicyness that I asked for. It was so simple, yet very delicious! I got four stars spicy, with no onions; but I did include the rest of the vegetables. They cook the vegetables very well. They were nice and crunchy, but soft at the same time.
The crab rangoon was nice and hot and had just the right amount of filling in the inside. The sweet chilli sauce it came with is a perfect combo to it. I will definitely be coming back to this place many more times. So far I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants diverse and delicious food from an authentic place that wants to please...
Read moreI’ve been looking for a Thai Restaurant to replace the one we left behind in VA. My co workers suggested this place. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance inside was just absolutely beautiful. The staff greeted us at the door. Took us to our table. Opening the menu was a surprise too. Only 2 pages to review. But why have an elaborate menu when you’ve got all the best things perfected. We ordered 2 Tom Yum soups with chicken, a Thai fried rice add pineapple and some chicken potstickers. We stuck to the basics because if this is good it’s guaranteed the rest is going to be fantastic. We are going back this week so I’ll be adding more photos and more to my review.
We have been back several times since the 1st visit I just didn’t do any updates. We still love it
9-15-21 Ma.La.Kor Thai continues to be our favorite Thai restaurant. We eat there almost weekly now. This place definitely has the highest quality Thai food. The food is still amazing we have pretty much tasted everything on the menu now. Fresh colorful vegetables, fresh meat & seafood, the flavors and spices are everything you could ask for. They also give you healthy filling portions. We always leave full and have enough to take home for another filling sitting. Some people say it’s pricy but in my personal opinion they could easily get away with charging more! The ambiance of the restaurant is still absolutely amazing. I adore Ma.La.Kor Thai. TOM Yum Soup/Chicken. Thai Basil/Beef. Pineapple Fried rice/chicken. Chicken pot stickers. Golden...
Read moreWanted a quick food spot near ikea and we were craving Thai food. This place is about 5 mins away from Ikea. It doesn't look like much from outside but we were pleasantly surprised. We reached here around 4.30 pm on a Sunday. And there were about 3-4 other tables. But it got busy pretty quickly. They do have a full bar which is not very common for Thai places so that's a plus. The service is quite mediocre. We had to flag people down for multiple things. I got their crab rice, my husband got their crispy garlic chicken. We also ordered the fried ice cream but were later told they don't have it available. For drinks I got their mango vodka drink and my husband got a beer. I did not like my drink at all. Tasted quite boozy and had a very strong cheap vodka flavor. The food was really tasty. I loved the crab rice. They also give 3 complimentary sides which are so so good! I love my spice and I devoured the dry crushed red chili, chili sauce and chili oil. They just added so much more punch and enjoyment to our meal! My husbands chicken was amazing too! They don't joke about the "crispy" part, it's crunchy tasty and very flavorful. It's a really nice place and seems to be quite popular with locals. We saw a huge group of about 15 people dining here. I would love to go back for the crab fried rice. I would probably skip drinks next...
