I visit this Asian market many times before, because it is the only Asian market that nears me with many product varieties. I used to like this place, but not for the visit on last Saturday. I waited at the medicine counter to try to get something. Normally staff would come to service me if they see someone is waiting at the counter. But not this time, I waited for couple minutes, nobody came. It wasn’t even busy hour. So I went to the nearest cashier line to ask if I can get anybody there to help me. The guy (cashier A) heard me, but he didn’t looked me or said anything. After he checked out the customer, he just walked to the counter without saying anything still! Then he asked me what I need with an unpleasant attitude. After I got what I need from him, I went to the other check out line. The cashier B maybe new to this place, he had trouble to check out his current customer. So he asked me if I can switch to the other line, he didn’t want me to wait too long. I completely understand that. So I move my stuff to the next cashier line. I made two trips to drop off the stuff. At the second trip when I was about to put down the last couple things, cashier C put a CLOSE sign up. I asked him if this line is closed. He said yeah with a poker face…I was like: Dude, you cannot tell me when I made the first trip?! He doesn’t even seem to want to tell me it is closed, just simply put up a sign! What a day at good fortune. I guess it’s really a BAD fortune for me to come here...
Read moreWhen people who live around me shared their bad experiences about this store, I told them that I didn't ask money back 'cause I only bought a few pears ( when I cut them into pieces and saw rotten part inside). Recently this kind of things happened so often, the bad quality stuff from different buyers. When I saw those pictures, meats like chicken drumsticks, duck meat...... , and fruits like apples, Jackfruit, etc. (people always showed their cut stuff pictures with receipts from this store), the common problem is that, the customers can only find the rotten stuff when they opened the packed meat ( or cut the fruits ) at home. I dropped the store 's star to 2. We don't know how much the store care about these. At least they should care about improving their cashier's service quality. Like : know how to respect their customers ; and no more mistakes to charge extra money from their customers ( if this happened many times to different people and still go on, it really means something not good) . Hopefully I can raise the store star soon. And the name " Good Fortune Supermarket" is for both of this store...
Read moreI love Good Fortune for their prices on produce and access to Asian products you can't always find in chain grocery stores. Their prices on meats are also really great, even though the quality is fair to good. The fish prices are also awesome, and I love the variety of selection they have. However, there is an attendant behind the seafood counter who has now twice given me absolutely poor service. I told him I needed a pound of shrimp and he gave me less than a pound, .92 exactly. He insisted that he gave me a pound and I just left, because the last time I got bass from there i asked him to filet it (a service I had called ahead to see if they provided, and I was told yes) and he said he could only do one fish, and he absolutely butchered it because he didn't really want to do it. The fact that he would undersell me on a product I wanted more of and would ruin my filet because he didn't want to do it, has me deeply concerned about the care the staff shows towards the products they provide and how management addresses customer service issues...so unfortunately I probably...
