The first thing my group noticed when we walked in is that the restaurant itself is very cozy and has a very relaxed vibe. It's nice hangout or date spot (if you've got a Date, lol) The staff are friendly, kind and patient. Omg the food is so good, went there with around 7 of my friends, and every single one of us loved the food, plus the servings are a very, very good size. (had me very full) cured my grumpy friend's hangry moods. 😭 *2025 edit* Still a place I love to go to when back in town for my breaks from Uni, a go-to place to meet up for lunch with friends for a relaxed dining experience (more relaxed now that I'm not going as a group of 8 high-schoolers) The staff is still consistently friendly, and the food is still amazing. Highly recommend the Creamy miso ramen and the cool mint drink, which is one of my favorite drinks of all my sit-down restaurant lists, it's so refreshing!

Came for the first time for my birthday with family and was not disappointed! Service was fast & friendly. They're happy to give you tips on what to order and what pairs well with what dish. Our party of 6 ordered 2 superbowls of black tonkotsu, 3 chicken catsu curry, 1 regular-sized order of spicy tonkotsu and chicken karaage for an appetizer. All amazing dishes, good flavor and generous portions. You have 2 choices of noodles for the ramen, I opted for the Hakata (thin white noodle) since I've tried Sapporo (yellow curly noodle) before at another ramen place and got too full too 1uickly. The Hakata noodle was nice and light & allowed me to finish my bowl. The pork belly is suuuper soft and bursting with flavor, no complaints at all on that one. Overall, would definitely come back!!

Had the Chicken Katsu for an appetizer, then the Tonkotsu Ramen for my lunch. The Katsu was good, but the star there was the amazing sauce they sent with it. The Tonkotsu itself was flipping amazing. The broth had such amazing flavor and a deep rich velvety texture. The chashu was delicious and was some of the best I've had so far. The soft boiled was cooked perfectly, but was a bit too over powering in the soy sauce flavor department. The other extras mixed in nicely, and really complimented the amazing broth well. The noodles were a bit of a let down, they were good but not up to the same high level as the broth. Hard to say what was off, but I feel it was the texture a bit. Still though, great food, good atmosphere, and a fun experience all around.😉👍

I order from here a couple of months ago and got the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was disappointing. So I reordered from them and got it delivered by Grubhub. The packaging was the same as last time. The food was okay but much better than last time. I ended up switching the noodles this time, last time I got the white noodles. The yellow ramen noodles was my least favorite thing about the dish because it felt cheap like they used instant ramen noddles and I did not like the texture of the ramen noodles either. The broth was much better! I was very pleased with it because last time it was very watered down and tasted awful. I also wish the ramen had more topping originally with it. The onions and cilantro was very strong and overpowered the dish in my opinion. I had added fishcakes, seared mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. The other ramen shop I go to Kinatro Ramen already have that in the ramen. One thing that surprised me about the dish was the leafy greens. How do I put it? It reminded me of steamed collard greens I eat for the holidays. It gave me a very homey/ comfortable feeling when eat this dish. I really enjoyed that! The seasoned egg was okay for me. In my opinion I like my boiled eggs in ramen soft boil. This egg yolk was a lil on the hard boiled side and once I split my seasoned boiled egg into 4ths the inside wasn’t as seasoned as the outside, which I would have liked. The pork belly was cook so good job with that, but it wasn’t tender. Overall, I wish the whole dish had a lil more seasoning and flavor. I will be back to order more food there and try...

Alright so my parents took my family here yesterday for my Little brothers Birthday (hes 10) And heres what i tought of it.

First of all. Ive heard that this place serves food real quick like Monta Ramen during rush hours, so ive came to try it

So when i came in during rush hour and needless to say they attended us quick so i was already thinking this place COULD actually be better than Monta. BUT when we ordered our Appetizers (Which was Chashu Buns and Takoyaki) it took them 20 to 30 Minutes or so to bring it to us. The Chashu buns and Takoyaki were OK i guess. But the Takoyaki gave me a red flag. The Takoyaki was COOL not HOT like average Takoyaki. And it tasted like microwaveable Takoyaki.

So we took our order for our Ramen. (I ordered Hakata-Style Noodles with Tonkotsu) and I dont know why but it took them 50 TO 40 DANG MINUTES for our Ramen to be served. And that We would be already leaving by 30 to 20 MINUTES if we were in Monta. AND IT TOOK THEM 10 MINUTES JUST FOR 2 NAPKINS?! Like come on. Unlike Monta they took 2 to 3 Minutes serving our Ramen. Even in rush hours.

Lets not forget the Portions. The regular bowl was as big as i wasnt expecting. And the so called "Super Bowl" wasnt as big. Someone had that across the table and Compared to my bowl. Wasnt as big. And Prices. More on the Pricey side. But Monta though. Theyll give you a BIG BOWL for 7.50 (Tonkotsu ramen)

I tried my ramen and it wasnt THAT BAD. But my Favorite instant ramen (Nissin Raoh) Was better.

SO i wouldnt recommend this place as much. (THIS REVIEW MAY BE EDITED...

When you walk in, Maru Ramen proudly displays a sign that states they were the voted best in the neighborhood in 2017. That was a long time ago, and there’s a reason they haven’t won since. I’ve been to this restaurant twice now, and tried different things each time. The service was great, the waitstaff has always been attentive, polite, and quick. I ordered the steamed gyoza and ramen the first time I came, and it wasn’t bad. The noodles were undercooked and the gyoza was bland, but it wasn’t too bad. I thought that the second time it might be better. I was wrong. I went again on my lunch break after a six month hiatus, and I realized why I hadn’t come in 6 months. The ramen was once again undercooked (both times I came during the lunch rush, I’m sure they were trying to turn and burn, so undercooked noodles make sense) and this time I ordered the fried gyoza, which came out a little burned. This place is underwhelming. The food is nothing special, you can stay home and make better gyoza in your air fryer and ramen on your stove. I appreciate the level of service and waitstaff’s attentiveness. If you’ve never had ramen before, give it a shot. Maybe you like it and go again. But don’t come here thinking you’re getting 4.5 star ramen as the reviews suggest. It is the only dedicated ramen place around, which makes it the best ramen place around, but it’s a big fish in a little pond. This food here is acceptable, but barely...
