I was a customer and never will be again of Aldi on Penn Ave. The experience I had the evening of January 6th was reprehensible. I do hope after my communication with their corporate offices, they review the security footage. If they don't have audio, they'll still clearly see the horribly rude and aggressive behavior of Amy, the cashier I had and how the cashier next to her joined in laughing at my terrible encounter. After being verbally abusive to me, and me telling her she was being rude and disrespectful, called on the walkie for "Drew, come and 'deal with' this customer", while rolling her eyes and pushing my cart with 122.00 of product across the pathway hitting the packing counter. As if my items and I both were trash.
Oh it didn't end there. I told her that was disrespectful and her response was not that she didn't mean to, or that she was sorry, no...her response was in a very sarcastic tone, "This is what we do here". Which is a lie, because I have shopped Aldi stores living in three states for over 15 years. I have NEVER encountered such horrible treatment, even with orders over 300.00.
I was then trying to swipe my card to pay, then and she pulled the new cart ip for the next customer and raised her voice even louder and said, "Did you want cash or not? " I never asked for cash, and that is when she PUSHED that cart INTO MY ARM!! You will see it cleary on their security camera. She continued to verbally spar with me as I was talking to the manager. It was unbelievable. Another employee came out and told her to stop and made her go in back. Drew was a professional and tried hard to control the situation, it is clear however that Amy (brown hair in pony tail, shoulder length likely) is very comfortable and has been allowed to treat people that way in the past or she and the male cashier would not have bern comfortable continuing this assault, yes I said assault, in FRONT of their manager on duty.
Even after all that she kept ranting," Well, my regulars like me." As if this were a bar, not a grocery store, where basic rules of decency apply to all.
My arm is sore from having the cart pushed into it by the cashier AMY.
I will never shop...
Read moreTerrible customer service. It was almost closing, the staff were friendly as ever. First, as I was trying to find the 1.29 tomatoes that were advertised on website, a man and a women with a cart, started piling every .39 cent cucumbersome in their cart, Ilme and another lady went over and got to swoop a couple. How terrible rude. It was at least 50. Emptying them out. Then lights were going out in the meat section, I headed for a lane which just opened from one to three. I didn't realize in lane one that coke spilled every where and the younger cashier said see was closed as checked out customers, okay great. Well so right as I went to head to the other, another cashier went to an empty lane and said this lane is open and that that cashier in the messy lane will move over. So a gentlemen and I wait in this. The young cashier just checked out the last guy in the lane so we're expecting to move over, a gal came up to here who already made a purchase to ask about another product, the gal decides to walk back and help her while we are still waiting for her. I move over to the other lane while the gentlemen Decieded to wait. The cashier came back and checked out the customer who was questioning an item at the messy register that she rejected me from. Then she picks up the empty coke bottle and her stuff and walks off. I am checked out and watching this. Thus is extremely terrible experience. This gal must be knew. She should be fired. Absolutely neglectful. I will not go back to this location until a manager addresses this concern. I would also recommend that everyone else who can, t use the Burnsville location, the staff is always incredible. There is an eden Prarie location that might be good too. Or just use fresh thyme. Wow. Incrediblely bad. You don't ignore customers who were directed to be in your new lane. You tell the customer who came up to hold on the latest others have been waiting....
Read moreI live near and use to shop here exclusively for years. I know half the staff by name. It was the absolute best. Unfortunately the good ones leave or get let go and the creeps take over. They harass people before they're closed. They lock the doors 5-10 minutes before close. One manager ran to the door when he saw my wife and I coming and tried to lock the doors on our faces 8 minutes before close. Another night, one skinny battered looking worker told an old lady "you're gonna have to wrap it up in the next 3 minutes" in a rude tone. I told him he cannot speak to the customers like that. He responds with "they should have more respect for the workers". At this point, a ginger gets in my face, 12" from me in a combative manner to defend the rude workers actions. I walk away, finish my shopping and as I'm at the register, explaining what happened to the cashier, the ginger once again gets in my face, trying to instigate a psychical fight with me and giving me no alternative. He tells me he will not allow me to purchase my food and if I don't leave, he will call the police and have me trespassed. A week later, they had that poor girl fired. I've never experienced anything at all on this level. This was supposedly the manager! His sole intent was to try to humiliate me but its a small world and ill never forget or forgive his treatment. The staff has always been amazing but the managers have always been absolute garbage human beings. I spoke with the area manager about the issue but she couldn't have cared less. She was empty and fake with the same terrible attitude. It's obvious that corporate is a soulless group of people that have no pride in what they do, the customers they serve and just don't care. There are still some great people that work there and I truly hope they eventually get a manager who is a...
