Today was our first and LAST time going to Aldi! I was walking in to change my sons dirty diaper, not realizing I walked through the exit because all I saw was the restroom sign and the woman (Karen) at the cash register started screaming at us and being EXTREMELY rude! Even after I apologized she still went about with her nasty rant with an obvious attitude saying “you have to go in they the entrance, this is the exit. Even if it’s to use the bathroom. You have to use the entrance, not the exit.” She seemed to be angered by the other customers throwing the recycling boxes around on the floor and in the corner, her line of customers getting longer for check out and her lack of help. Which still is NOT an excuse for the way she spoke to us as customers who unknowingly walked in through the exit and we apologized for it. She should have asked for help from fellow co-workers (she had a walkie talkie on her collar), instead of taking her nasty angry attitude out on the next customers who walked through the door. If we didn’t absolutely need things from the store, we would have walked right out. Again our LAST time going to an Aldi because of this...
Read moreI love keeping it simple and cheaper at the Aldi's located in the Target shopping center in Quakertown. I think it is one of the cheapest fresh produce places around. It seems like an average of 50 cents cheaper per item compared to the Giant supermarket and at least 25 cents cheaper than Walmart in the fresh produce section. I like the fast check out also. Red cabbage sauerkraut in the same size jars was about $7.00 cheaper than Fresh Market at the Promenade. I think it is better tasting. I know grocery prices are very expensive right now and inflated, but I do feel my dollar stretches more at Aldi's. When eggs cost about $3.50 a dozen at Walmart, they were only like $2.75 at Aldi's for the same size. They don't have all the name brands and aisles & aisles of processed foods, which I try to avoid anyways. I mostly go for the fresh vegetables and fruits, the fresh dairy and fresh meat sections. You can be in and out of there quickly, because you don't have to waste as much time going down each aisle to gaze upon endless varieties of the same thing like in the big supermarkets, life seems less complicated with less decision...
Read moreThis is the best Aldi in the area. They have a great variety and lots of organic options available. It's hard to beat Aldi prices too. The bathrooms are large and clean which is good considering I have kids and they like to touch everything. The store is organized just as well as any of the other Aldi's so no complaints there. It seems they have forsaken the bring your own quarter, put your own cart away mentality as there are many carts available inside with quarters already inserted. I guess their business model includes paying the customer a quarter to put the cart back.
My only complaint is that their produce seems to go bad if you don't use it within a couple of days, but this seems to be a common theme with all of the Aldi's I...
