Highly dissapointed in this years Santa experience. First off, we have had pictures of our daughter taken with Santa here for 7 years and this was definitely the last year due to price gouging but mainly the customer service was the turn off. Let me explain. They have a new Santa land, which is really designed for kids 6 or younger for 15 bucks per person, or they have the Santa only line option where you pay 30 bucks for the Santa appt, then you pay for the additional photos. Expensive. But ok its Christmas i get it. A lot goes into it and they make it look really nice. Kudos to them.
When I paid for things the lady at the counter explained to me that if there are 3 of us that was 15 bucks per person, and that included a physical copy of the photo if we chose the Santa land option. I specifically asked this question, we wanted a physical copy as we have 6 years of all prior years. However, If we went the Santa only route that was 30 bucks for sitting, then 14 for photo. So, this mathematically made sense to do the experience as the price seemed identical.
When we finished the experience it was actually an additional 9.99 just for email copies, then 12.99 for a physical copy on top of 45 dollars just to enter the Santa land. So instead of paying the 45 bucks for the Santa only (30 for sitting and photo), we got duped into 45 bucks for 3 cookies and 15 bucks for a physical copy. This was poorly explained to us.
I went to talk to the girl at the counter to explain to her why I was unhappy. I felt 1)price gouged but 2) most importantly misinformed. She basically told me, oh well what do you want me to do about it. It was her piss poor attitude that prompted this review. Otherwise I would have chalked it up to a learning experience.
This is my last time at Beaver Bark. Highly dissapointed with their set up. I will in fact never give them another dollar of mine and I've done this for 7 years now. This is what price gouging does, it ruins your customer relationship. Hope it was worth it. Before you say I have no reason to leave a 1 star review. Remember I chose to speak to you privately before I posted this review. Your associate and lack of care is what...
Read moreMy first time going to Beaver Bark & it’s my last. I’d give 0 stars if possible. I went to Beaver Bark to buy a few tomato plants for my grandmother. She is currently fighting cancer and she loves plants and flowers. I find the tomato plant section, grabbed a few I know she’d like. They were all extremely tiny. That should’ve been my first clue. I grabbed a few other items, then went to checkout. I had several questions about the plants & the girl at the counter couldn’t answer any of them. She asked her other co-worker who was working the other register the questions, but the attitude she was giving was not necessary. At that point, I was ready to get out of there. I also bought 4 big bags of soil. I asked her where do I pick those up at & she said drive around to the side, there’s someone out there that will load them for you. I drove around to the side & waited for 15 mins with my trunk open for someone to load the soil. Nobody ever came. I ended up loading them myself. I gave the plants to my grandma but guess what? They were trash. They were root bound and seemed as if whoever was watering them at Beaver Bark didn’t know what they were doing. Lowest quality plants possible. My grandma is trying to grow them but they aren’t growing like they should be (she's been a master gardener for 30+ years). After spending $134 at Beaver Bark, it was a total waste of money & really embarrassing to give my grandma plants that are bottom of the barrel quality. Save your money & time & go...
Read moreWe have been going to the Beaver Bark Santa for nearly a decade. We started going there to avoid the ridiculous prices and impersonal feeling you get at the mall. We have always loved it.
They used to be under $15 and you actually got to see your kids interact with Santa and you could take all the photos you wanted with your phone plus you got a print.
Congratulations beaver bark for ruining the experience this year with astronomical prices for a commercialized experience and rude service. Don’t take your phone in to see Santa even after you have paid through the nose. She will yell at you. Nothing says Merry Christmas like an elf telling you, you can’t take photos of your kids.
We paid $34 and can’t even walk away with one print. Only digital photos. If you want an actual printed photo you have to buy the whole experience. ($75 now for a family of 5)
So utterly disappointed with what used to be a warm reasonable family outing and tradition which has been reduced to how can they make the most money possible on young families.
Beaver Bark….if your listening, everyone loved your Santa because of the experience you used to provide, not what you turned it into!
*In response to your reply. Yes I did post my opinion on your Facebook page but your business doesn’t allow any honest opinions of an experience on there unless it is a glowing review. Your staff deletes them immediately. Fortunately google doesn’t allow you to delete peoples opinions. Merry...
