This is the first time our family has went to Queensgate Gardens for Christmas tree hunting and it was awesome! The staff was friendly and cheerful. A wide variety of beautiful trees to choose from made the decision a bit difficult but ended up with a species we hadn’t tried before. There was a bounce house to keep the kids busy while we browsed and Santa and his helpers were there to spread the cheer! Typically, the cost and over-crowding drags on an experience, but with the option of a donation, it made it feel more like we could pay for what we valued the experience - which is empowering and not over-burdensome. Also, as we were getting ready to leave, the fine gentlemen handling Christmas trees asked the kids to help make some mini trees (out of branch clippings and sawed off rounds with a drilled hole through the middle) which was a great idea! Read moreBought a lemon tree last year around $100 So much for that. If you ever buy a lemon, lime, orange tree make sure you ask if it does not produce can you bring it back. Keep receipt as I wish I had. Make sure it is blooming before buying** I did not. If you see fruit on the tree great!!! If not, do not buy. He always guarantees his produce. He gave my 16 year old and my 9 year old, fruit to try and take home. Its a treat for them to go with me shopping there and getting to pick their own produce.
