We have taken our RV in to Dick Gore in Richmond Hill for service several times. Every time we take it in we are the ones who have to call them about how the service is going. We are given a time that they will let us know something and we never hear from them. My husband has had to call them every time about the RV and then we are given all kinds of reasons as to why we haven't heard from them, even when the problem has been diagnosed and sitting on the counter for over a week. We also have found out that when you have an appointment to bring your RV in, that if they are selling RV's you are put in the back of the line for service because the new customers are put first no matter how long you have to wait. We have had seals replaced on our living and bedroom slides and had to take it back both times because there were gaps at the bottom on each side of the side where light was coming in. We had a leak in our bedroom slide and it was diagnosed as the seal, replaced seal and guess what, still leaking, and that was after we had taken it back in because of the gaps. Now we are being told that the slide is "out of square" and that is what it is causing the leak and it is going to cost over $6,000.00 to get it fixed, because the previous owner had brought it in and that was the price he was quoted so it was going to be more because of the increased costs for parts and service. Had that been the diagnosis to begin with, we would have put the $$$$ we paid to have the seal replaced into having the slide fixed. Have checked several places and we have been told by everyone that they could build a new slide for that price. Not only that, they wanted to charge us the second time we took it back in because the seal had gaps at the bottom. They have kept the RV anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Jenny, the girl in the service department was very rude several times on the phone when we contacted her. She got really upset when we wouldn't pay the additional price for the second time we took it in for the bedroom slide, however, it should have been fixed right the first time, that is what we paid them for. Not sure we will use them again because of the poor service we have gotten. We have talked to them about buying another RV, however after the last time we took it in, that is not going to happen. The sales department and the people in the store have been wonderful every time we speak to them, however when you are having something repaired it is more important than buying something in the store. If I could give it no stars there is what I...
Read moreCamper's Inn RICHMND HILL has given us the ABSOLUTE worst possible buying experience. We bought our 5th Wheel in August of LAST YEAR ('19) and have just now spent our first week in it because of their COMPLETE lack of competence and shady business practices. While THIER driver was bringing our unit back to us...we had a tire blowout causing damage to the rear axel and underskirt. This happened in FEBRUARY. You would think that THIER insurance would cover the repair right?? Wrong. After going ALL the way up their "corporate ladder", we were informed by Regional Manager Rex in Jacksonville that they were not responsible for the damage because "the unit was being moved as a courtesy". No sir, Mr. Rex the unit was being moved because you and your employees NEVER delivered a functioning unit to us. It was in RICHMOND HILL being repaired (Auto Level sensor). Tire blowout happened in FEB, we finally got our unit in early June. Soooo we had to make a claim on our insurance AND pay the $500 deductible on a unit that we had not even PULLED a single mile. While this tire blowout fiasco was going on, our saleman Jimmy Harrison who is supposedly their Sales Manager just STOPPED taking/returning our phone calls. Just another example of the "customer service" or LACK thereof that you will find at Campers Inn. We LOVE our Camper and we will not let this experience stop us from getting out "On the Road". However, if you are thinking of buying a camper, do yourself a favor and turn around and RUN from Camper's Inn. These folks demonstrate CORPORATE GREED at...
Read moreI have waited to review Dick Gore's RV World so I could check out service after the sale. With that said, I read the horror stories on line and was worried. I traded my old rig at Dick Gores and bought a new Winnebago. I paid a little more than I needed but it was my decision based on what I wanted. No pressure from them. I had a couple of minor issues that seemed wrong after the initial couple of trips and they worked with me to bring the rig in for repairs. Since they were minor, I actually took it to them for the initial examination and they gave me the rig back while the parts came in. Went right back and had the items fixed. Had questions and the service manager (Kevin) was amazing. My service tech (David) let me see how he fixed a couple of issues I had. A year later, the rig has performed perfectly. Had a cable line over a highway drop down and catch the front of my rig doing some damage. Again they jumped right on it, helped me get the estimate, get it to the insurance, and have scheduled me to get the repair done when I return from my current trip. They helped me come up with a way to prevent leaks while I continue to use my RV. I have another major RV dealer right down the street but would never consider going anywhere but here. I have seen rigs sit in their repair lot for a while but they are always waiting on parts. Not much they can do about that. I hear they are being changed to Campers Inn but have no real info on this. I know the service manager is not going anywhere so they have me as a customer for...
