POUNDROCKOUT with Rachel was a 45min fun filled sweat sesh with some great music that definitely helps to get the heart pumping and get you in the moment. This is why you should also jump in and POUND away... PoundRockout Workout is a full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using RipstixÂŽ, lightly weighted (around 1/4lb) engineered specifically for exercising! The RipstixÂŽ add extra weight to each movement, helping to increase stability and core strength. The sticks also assist with working muscles in the shoulders, forearms, triceps and back. What muscles does a POUND workout work? POUND is predominantly a core, leg and glute workout, zooming in on the delicate balance of lower back and abdominal strength. The entire body is integrated during the workout, with an emphasis on the muscles that ânarrowâ the body as opposed to ones that add bulk. WHY IT WORKS Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with the best workout in the shortest span of time. After youâre done rocking out in a 45-minute POUND class, youâll have completed up to thousands of reps, performed over 30 extended interval peaks, and zipped through more than 70 techniques without even realizing it. How many squats are in a Pound Fitness class? There are around 700-800 squats and lunges together in a 45-minute-long session. So come burn up to 900 or more calories per hour and drum yourself to a stronger and more sculpted body. I'm definitely going back...
Read moreI like going to the Y but the childcare isnât very helpful when it comes to my son who isnât used to being in care of other people and instead of coming up to him trying to comfort him and maybe try to play and distract him, they just let him stand by the gate opening and cry and an older lady sort of rolls her eyes like an expression of omg here we go and then proceeds to tell me âshouldnât he be in the baby roomâ which to my understanding youâre telling me you donât want to deal with him so you decided to ask me that question. By the way itâs not his first time coming and he always goes in that room and Iâm pretty sure you remembered him since he was always the âhuge babyâ and he definitely does a little crying all the time when his parents walk away, but all of the sudden âshouldnât he be in the baby roomâ? Iâm just upset I never expected that at all especially the other times Iâve came to the Y with him. I also took a few weeks of a break due to surgery and today I come back and was treated a little poorly so Iâm definitely not...
Read moreWell we finally had enough of this YMCA and had to join Planet Fitness. Even though I get the Y cheap and payroll deducted at work. This location is poorly maintained and managed. Some of the weight machines are broke and not repaired for days, sometimes weeks. The teens and young adults come in a take over the gym with drooping weights and grunting so loudly you can't hear your music with your headphones on. We've tried other locations in Savannah and some are better (slightly) but most are the same. The coastal Georgia YMCA needs to do a better job of managing their locations. This one is also very cliquish with not so friendly...
